The Insurance Company of the West Indies Limited is the recipient of the 2016 Junior Achievement President Award. ICWI has been awarded because of its consistent commitment to the development of youth through Junior Achievement’s programmes. This support has been assisting tremendously in providing a competitive rounded education for Jamaica’s youth and preparing them to be bright, creative, global citizens capable of helping to advance Jamaican businesses and the overall economy. CAYMAN DISCOVERY DAY

ADVENTURE CHALLENGE

CWI was the presenting sponsor for the Annual Discovery Day Adventure Challenge held on May 16 th, and this year, the Cayman Islands Women’s Crisis

Centre was chosen as the charity recipient. Twenty-nine teams of four competed in ten timed challenges across Cayman; some being mental challenges, and others physical. Activities included target shooting at the Cayman Islands Gun Club, an obstacle course at Motions Unlimited Gym and rum sniffing at Cayman Spirits Company. The team “Pink Fluffy Unicorns” completed all of the activities in the fastest total time and were presented with ICWI goody bags along with a grand prize of CI $5,000. As is customary, the event was well suppor ted and lots of fun!
