I chose Truett-McConnell College because I believed it would give me the best opportunity to excel both
in my walk with the Lord and in my success
in sports management.
God has used my time
here as an opportunity for me to share my faith with complete strangers. When I talk about where I go to school, I’m able to share the school’s beliefs and strong faith with them because these are part of the reason I came to Truett in the first place. It’s been new, exciting, and overwhelmingly refreshing. - Caleb | Sophomore, Sports Management

...At one point I considered switching to online classes, but Dr. Caner encouraged me to put pride aside for a moment and consider what God wanted. I knew the administration and professors at TMC cared for me. I could tell they didn’t just want my money; they didn’t just want another student; they cared that I stay here and grow in the Lord. I wasn’t a number; I wasn’t just a random person. I was a name. I had a face. - Jacob | World Missions graduate
I chose TMC because I knew that God was calling me to the mission field and I wanted to pursue an education that would best prepare me to fulfill God’s calling on my life. Truett-McConnell is one of the few colleges that offers a World Missions degree, and the fact that the school is founded upon biblical principles is what sold me. The soccer and music programs are icing on the cake! - Meagan | World Missions graduate & former soccer player

LOVE THE LORD
LOVE THE WORD
THEOLOGY I & THEOLOGY II
BIBLE SURVEY & CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW
In an age of religious illiteracy, professors with great passion for God must equip students to speak biblically and intelligently about God. Our students are taught to stand on the fundamentals of the faith, including the deity of Christ, His substitutionary death, and His soon coming return. At TruettMcConnel College, biblical theology reigns as Queen of the Sciences.
Defending the faith begins with understanding how to defend God’s inerrant Word. Students must be taught how to rely fully and solely on the Bible. However, that is but half the battle. Truett-McConnell’s curriculum speaks to the heart as well as the soul. Those devoted to the Lord will also be devoted to His Word, daily.
LOVE THE CHURCH
LOVE THE LOST
BAPTIST HISTORY
INTRO TO MISSIONS & EVANGELISM OR MISSIONS PRACTICUM
Many Christians see church membership as optional. Truett-McConnell strongly emphasizes the necessity of corporate ministry, worship and fellowship. Taught by the president, Baptist History gives students an appreciation of their heritage and teaches them to treasure one of the organisms God Himself created – the Church.
A Christian school must teach the Great Commission as mandatory and not optional, and must call out the called. Leaders of TMC’s World Missions Center train students for a life charactierized by sharing Christ at home and abroad. Like our Anabaptist forefathers, we recognize that evangelism may come at a great cost. A faith worth living for is worth dying for.

During my junior year of high school I came to tour Truett one Thursday and I was able to sit in on chapel. I could tell God had His hand on the college and He had big things in store. I felt He was calling me to be a part of that. In my classes, I feel as though I am getting a very well-rounded education because, not only am I learning about things from the perspectives taught in other colleges, but everything is also presented from a Christian perspective. I have seen how Christ is involved in every aspect of life, even academics. I’ve learned things here that I will be able to use for the rest of my life and I have never doubted that I’m exactly where God wants me to be. - Bailey | Senior, English major

MISSIONS At Truett-McConnell College, motivation for the Great Commission begins in the classroom and extends from the campus, to the streets, and to the countries around the world. Whether ministering to AIDS patients in North Africa or evangelizing in the streets of El Salvador, TMC students see the world as Jesus did: ripe for the harvest. Some students choose a mission trip to fulfill one of the two options as part of the required Great Commission minor. This 16-hour minor includes the study of theology, missions, Baptist history and a Christian worldview.
STUDENT LIFE Let’s face it. High school will soon be over. When it’s all said and done, who are you really? This can be the place where you find the answer to that question. A place where the white noise of the world is quieted, and the valuable things in life emerge crystal clear. It’s a find of unexpected quality nestled in the mountains. What better setting to experience God? To pursue His ways and embrace His calling.
Among heights that inspire. Views that
whisper to the majestic and bring us back to the Savior again and again. Authentic connections. As your journey unfolds, meet people who care about your story and walk with you into new chapters. Whether it’s the laughter of friends around a bonfire or gathering around the table of a professor’s home for dinner, embrace a place that’s personal.
Truett-McConnell has become much more to me than simply a college campus. Its home and the place God has called me to be at this moment in my life. The students and faculty have become like my extended family. The professors, faculty, administration, and even the cafeteria workers I’ve come in contact with have taken time to invest in me personally, and to get to know who I am as an individual. That speaks volumes to me about the type of people that have come to work here. It has been a breath of fresh air for me. - Matt | Sophomore, Music major
A WORD FROM DR. CANER Where God is pouring out His blessings is an exciting and rewarding place to be. There are many such places around the world where God is at work. On the campus of Truett-McConnell College in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northern Georgia is just such a place. Come and see, then come and be the servant God has called.
