Greetings: On behalf of the members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omicron Zeta Chapter, it is a privilege to welcome you to Omicron Zeta’s 74th Annual Blue Revue and 25th Annual Blue Aspiration Community Service and Scholarship Program. It has been my pleasure watching this year’s participants flourish. For nearly 87 years, Omicron Zeta Chapter has been a leader in the Raleigh/Wake Community. One of our longest standing traditions is providing scholarships to young men and women in our community. Neither pandemics nor recessions have interrupted our mission to provide financial assistance and enrichment opportunities to our youth. To the parents, grandparents, and many supporters of this year’s participants, thank you for allowing us to work with your children. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you for your commitment to this year’s event. Thank you for raising young kings and queens who are the true definition of “Excellence and Elegance.” I sincerely hope that we have made a lasting and memorable impression on your children during the last few months. To the Chair, Mrs. Joyce Wilson, and Omicron Zeta’s Blue Revue and Blue Aspiration Community Service and Scholarship Program Committee, thank you for giving of your time and talents to our signature event. Congratulations on a job well done! Again, job well done and may God continue to bless and keep you in His care. Sincerely,
Yasmin Morton-Moses, Esq. Yasmin Morton-Moses, Esq. President

Greetings: It is with the utmost pleasure that I greet you on the occasion of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Omicron Zeta Chapter’s Blue Revue and Blue Aspiration Scholarship Gala. We, the members of Omicron Zeta Chapter, are ecstatic and overcome with joy, admiration, and respect for our Blue Revue and Blue Aspiration youth and parents. It has truly been a very rewarding experience serving and working with these precious youth. This has been a very gratifying experience for me. Omicron Zeta Chapter’s Blue Revue and Blue Aspiration Scholarship initiative afforded me an opportunity to serve as chairperson for this grand occasion. I now have a deeper appreciation and admiration for those who have preceded me in making this affair an exceptional experience. We have been blessed with nine extraordinary gems in this year’s gala. Words cannot express the gratification that has overwhelmed me at times, as I witnessed these young people grow in so many ways. In preparing for Omicron Zeta Chapter’s Blue Revue and Blue Aspiration Scholarship Gala, there has been much mutual respect. The youth have challenged me in ways that have deepened my dedication and devotion to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and they in return have been challenged to become the youth that God created them to be. I, sincerely, thank our parents, grandparents, families, Zeta sponsors, Zeta sisters, and friends for joining us as we celebrate a special group of youth’s debuts to society. Best regards,
Joyce A. Wilson Mrs. Joyce A. Wilson 2nd Vice President/ Blue Revue and Blue Aspiration Chairperson

International History of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded January 16, 1920, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and has been transforming lives for over 102 years. It was founded as the sister organization of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Five women, Arizona Cleaver Stemons, Pearl Anna Neal, Fannie Pettie Watts, Viola Tyler Goings and Myrtle Tyler Faithful, established an organization predicated on the precepts of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. From that beginning, the Sorority has grown to encompass approximately 1,000 graduate and collegiate chapters throughout the United States, the Bahamas Islands, West Africa, Korea, Dubai, London, and Germany. The Sorority’s purpose is to foster the ideals of service, charity, scholarship, civic and cultural endeavors, sisterhood and finer womanhood. These are reflected in the national programs for which its members and auxiliary groups provide volunteer service to staff outreach programs, fund scholarships, support organized charities and promote legislation for social and civic change.

History of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Omicron Zeta Chapter From a humble beginning of seven chartered members; Emily Mae Morgan Kelly, Louise Latham, Ann Hawkins, Evelyn Pope, Ida Washington, Mozelle Lane and Catherine Weatherford to a membership of over fifty today, the Omicron Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated stands as a testament of courage and enlightenment for those who share in its rich and inspiring history. The organization began on August 15, 1935, in the basement of St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, which was then located on Wilmington Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. Members were active and prosperous in professional, social, and business organizations in which many held state and national offices. Omicron Zeta Chapter is one of several hundred current chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority in the United States and abroad. Its most outstanding social, cultural, civic, and educational interests are promoted through its Annual Blue Revue Scholarship Program, Finer Womanhood activities, Elder Care initiatives, March of Dimes walk, United Negro College Fund, Adopt-A-School, and the Adopt-AHighway programs. Additionally, the Chapter promotes services by working with collegiate chapters and youth affiliates through the sponsorship of three collegiate Zeta chapters: Omicron Chapter at Shaw University; Phi Beta Chapter at St. Augustine’s University; and Mu Xi Chapter at North Carolina State University; as well as the Archonettes, Pearlettes, Amicettes clubs, the Amicae auxiliary (Zeta Amicae of Raleigh) and the Zeta Male Network. Evidence abounds that Omicron Zeta Chapter has supported and continues to support a wide range of community agencies and special projects. Omicron Zeta Chapter has met and continues to meet challenges of a globally changing world by exhibiting finer womanhood and providing leadership, dedication, scholarships, community service, and sisterly love to Raleigh, North Carolina and surrounding communities.
