Google’s Boulder location at 2590 Pearl Street is a two-story office building situated on a sevenbuilding campus. The space was in need of an upgrade and Google commissioned Tryba to renovate the interior with a distinctive theme while following the latest corporate guidelines and meeting an aggressive schedule. The space subtly captures the essence of a sports and gaming theme, chosen to enhance collaboration and engagement and embrace the culture of Google. The office’s Center Court features two tournament table tennis courts, a climbing wall and golf simulator. Micro kitchens and unique spaces are located along the circulation paths allowing for the open work areas to maintain access to daylight and views of the mountains.

Boston Consulting Group tasked our design team with creating a brand-new design concept for their Chicago office—one of the largest in the consulting firm’s global practice. Bringing nature indoors and creating spaces for both quiet reflection and social interaction, we delivered a highly customized workplace that transformed the experience of work at BCG. In stark contrast to their traditional floor plans of enclosed offices, we established with BCG an open and transparent plan that invites collaboration, while meeting demanding privacy requirements. The result is an increased sense of connection throughout the office between people, nature and the unique urban environment.

The GoSpotCheck Headquarters at 1500 Market is a new, three-story plus top-floor mezzanine addition to the historic Rocky Mountain Seed Building at 1520 Market. The new structure is built on top of the below-ground, 24-vehicle parking structure constructed in 2014. The interior of exposed structural wood glulams and wood decking pays homage to the exposed structure of the adjacent historic Seed Building. The exterior is composed of a custom steel curtain wall system with aluminum-clad wood windows. The building completes the street wall on the south-east corner of 15th and Market. Floors 2 and 3 include 5,000 SF of office with interior connections to the Seed Building. The top-floor mezzanine features an L-shaped deck with views through LoDo to the Rocky Mountains beyond.

The project restores a gap in the urban streetscape, marking an important gateway into Lower Downtown, one of Denver’s most highly valued historic neighborhoods.

Phase 1: 2016 Park Towne Place Museum District Residences are once again among the premier multi-family communities in Center City Philadelphia. Composed of four 18-story towers arranged around a Great Lawn, the property is the first mid-century modern multifamily community in Pennsylvania to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Preservation, new design interventions, and enlivened programming have transformed the campus into a vibrant community. Major interventions included restoration of the building envelope; new openings and circulation paths; complete restoration of the 600-space underground parking structure; re-imagined amenities including a 20,000 SF retail center; and fully renovated and reconfigured living spaces oriented toward city and river views. Capitalizing on the unique proximity to some of the country’s most prestigious cultural institutions such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Barnes Foundation, the campus has been reconnected to the Parkway Museums District through a robust art program. The project celebrates Park Towne Place’s historic character and fulfills the exciting promise of modern urbanism in the heart of Philadelphia.
