Landrum helps Fox ‘Celebrate Carolinas’ by Barbara Tilly
A gala called “All Morris, All the Time” will be held Saturday, July 28 from 6-9 p.m. in Gallery One at the Tryon Fine Arts Center. Donated items will be auctioned, with proceeds going to the Save Morris Ransom Project. Watch the Bulletin later this week for more details about the items that will be available in the auction.
On Monday, July 23, Landrum was featured in a live broadcast as part of Fox News’ “Celebrate the Carolinas” series on WHNS Channel 21. The filming crew set up on the deck outside Foothills Amish
Furniture in downtown Landrum and filmed interviews, performances and other activities from 5-9 a.m. Landrum Mayor Bob Briggs kicked off the day at 5 a.m. Live music was provided by Project X. Also featured were Jay

Families in Polk County and Landrum will check off items on supply lists over the next month as they prep for the start of another school year. Landrum schools return to the classroom Aug. 20, while Polk
students now know they will return Aug. 27 and remain in school until June 7. Landrum schools will end their year May 31. The length of Polk County’s school year had been in question until late June, when the school board voted to revert to a 180-day calendar. Last school year, the
