Rocky Top Barbeque grand champs
The next Summer Tracks concert in the park is set to take place this Friday, June 21 at 7 p.m. in Roger’s Park, Tryon. Bayou Diesel will bring their Zydeco and Cajun music to the stage to get people moving. The band is fresh from three sets at the Dance Tent at Merlefest. This Friday’s concert is sponsored by Terry Ackermann in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Silver Creek residents still losing sleep over noise issues Planning board cannot act on unzoned areas by Leah Justice
The Polk County Planning Board was advised last week that it
cannot work on a proposed noise ordinance because the complaints are not related to planning or zoning. The planning board met Thursday, June 13 and reviewed a letter from Polk County Attorney Jana Berg. The planning board was recently asked Silver Creek Community residents to draft a noise
