Editor’s Note

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” — Mark Twain

ongratulations, Class of 2022! To say that the past four years have been tough would be an understatement. In addition to cramming for finals, working part-time jobs and feeling like the home stretch of high school would never end, you’ve also been dealing with a pandemic that left no corner of the globe untouched, including your school, friends and family. The memories of your your time in high school will surely help to prepare you for life ahead - as you go out into the world of work, college, the military, or whatever you choose to do. Your high school experience has been unique, to say the least! In these last few days before you don your caps and gowns, savor the feeling of freedom and accomplishment you’re experiencing. Marvel at the possibilities ahead of you. This moment is the culmination of a lot of hard effort; this

is what you’ve been working so hard for. You have arrived at the threshold of the rest of your life, and you’re ready to catch the wind in your sails. It’s a great feeling, isn’t it? Your future plans may take you out of the county, state or country, but wherever you go, remember that you’ll have a safe harbor here in the Foothills. This is always the place you’ll call home, and you’ll have friends and family here who love you and support you. Best of luck to all of you, and Godspeed. Without further ado, the Tryon Daily Bulletin presents to our readers the Class of 2022, from Polk County High School, Polk County Early College, Landrum High School, and Lake Lure Classical Academy.
