In recent years, Sai Kung has successively settled in many characteristic shops and boutique snacks, concentrated in the area of Sai Kung Waterfront Park , Jiuxu, Yichun Street and Market Street , and gradually developed a leisurely culture full of European style.
The Sai Kung market town received the economic expansion in the 1950s. At the time, the world was enforcing an embargo policy to the newly established the People's Republic of China, which the market town became a place for smuggling goods to the Republic.

Culture of Sai Kung
Fisherman activity Dragon boat racing:
Fisherman religion Tin Hau Temple, Sai Kung Hui: It is adjacent to the center of more than 50 villages and is a place for religious, rural, and trade activities. The Christmas Festival is held on the Sunday of April in the lunar calendar.
It is actually a religious activity for fishermen. Luxi, Liang Chuan Bay, Baisha Bay and Budaiao all have rituals to worship dragons at the temple. The fishermen believe that a dragon boat race can scare the dragons and retreat from the sea by drumming and shouting.
Granary Bay Tin Hau Temple:
Magic trick:
As the sacrifice center for nearby fishermen, the birthday celebration will be held at the birthday. Residents of the villages will co-organize the "Birthday Ceremony" event every other year. A hiccup ceremony will be held before the birth of Tianhou, and the goddess of the Queen will be carried on the ship to parade, and perform the magical performances in the next period.
Divine performances are performed in the form of public performances of Cantonese opera. In the past, the magical performances of the Tianhou Temples will be performed at Tianhou ’s birthday. Therefore, conflicts often arise when hiring theatrical classes.
Hung Shing Temple, Kau Sai Chau: It is a regional temple in Kau Sai Chau. In addition to praying for fishermen, it also has the function of uniting local communities. The birthday of God is held on the birthday, and funeral ceremony will be held the morning before the birthday.
Fireworks: It is used as representatives of the gods. The fishermen's associations consist of industries, communities, and ethnic groups. Each fireworker will use all methods to capture the ideal firework, which has caused many conflicts. The government subsequently banned fireworks and switched to drawing lots to reduce conflict.

Overall Design
Chose to use T-shaped support for the building and wanted to feel a weightlessness. At the same time, I also used a rotating staircase to connect the third floor to the first floor, and then connected to the pier. Through the integrated design, it gave the building a simple feeling.

On the pier, you can walk directly from the bridge to the coffee shop. Since the shop is on the sea, there is no ground floor, which is directly connected from the bridge to the first floor, which is designed for the restaurant area. On the second floor is the coffee section, next to the book section. The third floor is the guest lounge.
