French Tourist Falls To Death at Potts Point Park A French tourist who fell to his death from a rooftop park in Potts Point in inner Sydney was attempting to retrieve a football that had gone over the edge, police say. The man, aged in his 20s, fell about 15 metres to his death on Tuesday afternoon from the Cowper Wharf Roadway park, which is on the top of a multi-storey car park near the intersection with Wylde Street. Inspector David Vidal, from the Kings Cross local area command, said the man had been throwing a football around with a number of friends just before 5pm when the ball went over the edge and landed on the ground below."He has climbed over the fence, we're assuming to try to go and get the ball. Rather than going down the stairs, he has climbed the fence," Inspector Vidal said.
