Grounded in research, focused on results... Two thirds of business school graduates take their first jobs as salespeople; many fail, at substan�al cost to their employers. We aim to reduce the skills gap and ready our students such that the likelihood of success increases and the ramp up �me to that success decreases. We will also be working with corporate partners, performing benchmarking studies and providing educa�on and training opportuni�es. Thus our center’s mission is: to advance the knowledge and professional prac�ce of sales and customer rela�onship management by providing educa�onal and research opportuni�es to students and corporate professionals.

About the

RAWLS COLLEGE OF BUSINESS The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business offers extensive undergraduate and graduate programs designed to prepare a diverse student body for successful careers as leaders, managers, execu�ves, and innovators in their chosen fields. The Rawls College accounts for almost 25 percent of total graduates from Texas Tech University and has an alumni network of more than 46,000 people worldwide. Accredited by the Associa�on to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Rawls College offers undergraduate degrees in seven academic areas: accoun�ng, energy commerce, finance, informa�on technology, management, marke�ng, and supply chain management. At the graduate level, students can enroll in mul�ple MBA programs, Master of Science programs, doctoral programs, and graduate and professional cer�fica�ons. The Rawls College’s Career Management Center boasts job placement rates well above the na�onal average, with both undergraduate and graduate students achieving higher than a 90 percent placement rate.

Consulting and Training for Businesses In addi�on to educa�ng the next genera�on of sales leaders, we are equipped to provide training and consul�ng services tailored to meet the needs of your business. We focus on four areas: • Developing salespeople

Solving business problems with customized research solutions. Designed to connect theory to prac�ce, the Rawls Sales Strategy Compe��on challenges our students to deliver impac�ul solu�ons to the strategic challenges of our partners. Winning teams will be eligible for significant scholarship prizes ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 per successful team. This flagship, ac�on learning event is a strategy compe��on in which student teams will work (with guidance from expert and experienced faculty) for an en�re semester developing strategic solu�ons for our partner organiza�ons. The benefits of par�cipa�ng will be significant. First, our partners will receive pragma�c solu�ons with ac�onable recommenda�ons to strategic challenges that they may face (at a frac�on of the cost of u�lizing reputable consultants). Second, par�cipa�on will be an opportunity to engage with our students and evaluate them as poten�al employees. Third, par�cipa�on will generate substan�al exposure throughout our student body, all of whom are poten�al future customers and/or employees. And fourth, through this program, partners can test ideas, techniques, and methods to test what works for decision-making purposes.

Facilities The Center for Sales & Customer Rela�onship Excellence is home to a state-of-the-art facility that includes role-play offices with audio visual recording caapabili�es, a crea�ve space, a mul�-purpose mee�ng room, an observa�on facility, and access to classrooms in the Rawls College of Business.
