Publication Copy & Design Our team produces marketing materials and promotional publications that highlights how our students, faculty, and alumni support the college’s strategic initiatives. These materials and publications include booklets, brochures, digital signage, emails, fliers, invitations, newsletters, posters, etc. If you or your department would like to create marketing materials, please submit the Rawls College Publication Design Request Form.
Web Services Our team oversees all aspects of the Rawls College’s website (rawlsbusiness.ba.ttu.edu). Event Coverage & Promotion Our team highlights activities and events hosted by students, faculty, staff and alumni that support the college’s strategic initiatives. Coverage of events typically includes a news article and photography, if appropriate. All news articles are placed on Rawls News – the college’s designated newsroom – and shared via social media, the Rawls Newsletter, the Rawls Street Journal, and other platforms as appropriate. All photos are uploaded to the Rawls Flickr account, where photos can be viewed and downloaded by the general public. For event coverage, please submit the Rawls College Media Event Coverage Request Form. Please submit requests five business days before the event or activity. A request will not guarantee coverage; however, we will try to accommodate your event or activity to the best of our ability. Last-minute requests may be denied due to workload or conflicting events.
Rawls News Our team highlights accomplishments by students, faculty and staff members, alumni, and the college as a whole. All news articles are placed on Rawls News and shared via social media, the Rawls Newsletter, the Rawls Street Journal, and other platforms as appropriate. Rawls Street Journal & Rawls Newsletter Our team produces and distributes the Rawls Street Journal, a weekly email sent to Rawls faculty, staff and students every Sunday during the fall and spring semesters. This publication includes information about the week’s upcoming events as well as recent Rawls News stories. The college’s building hours are also included. Additionally, our team produces the Rawls Newsletter, an electronic newsletter distributed to Rawls faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the college during the fall and spring semester as well as one time during the summer. This publication highlights top Rawls News stories that month (or summer) in addition to listing the college’s building hours and alumni-related upcoming events. Information for inclusion in both publications is pulled from Rawls News and the college’s online event calendar, Events@Rawls.
Rawls Events Our team manages the Rawls College event calendar (Events@Rawls). This event calendar provides a consolidated listing of official events happening at the college. By promoting lectures, cultural events, student organization events and other activities, the calendar encourages communication within both the Rawls College and Texas Tech University and fosters community participation at public events. Events@Rawls also provides more comprehensive information about the Rawls College to our external constituents in support of academic, research and other strategic objectives. Events include academic deadlines, lectures, workshops, meetings, training programs, as well as cultural, sporting and social functions. They may include on-campus events or selected off-campus events sponsored by a Rawls College entity (e.g. department, institute, center, registered student organization, etc.). These events may be open to the general public, the Texas Tech community or a segment of the Texas Tech community.
Rawls Faculty & Staff Directory Our team handles the creation and updates to the Rawls College’s online faculty and staff directory. This directory highlights the faculty and staff’s background, accomplishments, research interests, and areas of expertise. The directory also helps the general public identify key experts in a particular field. To create or delete a bio page, complete the Web Request Form. Refer to the faculty/staff bio tutorial for directions on how to make updates to your bio page.
Social Media Our team manages all the official social media accounts for the Rawls College. The social media outlets are used to connect with students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and other key publics. By using social media, we are able to share all relevant news, information and accomplishments by those affiliated with the Rawls College. Most social media posts are in direct correlation with our strategic goals and incorporate #RawlsLeads.
