MMMM, Z-LICIOUS Chef Ma’Chell Eggleton reinvents Z Café for 2014.
O
f all the amenities the FloatAway Community enjoys, perhaps none is more beloved than our in-house deli and one-stop
snack shop, Z Café. Owner Ma’Chell Eggleton calls the café her “dream job,” and says she’s constantly seeking new ways to tailor the restaurant’s offerings to accommodate the community’s needs. Z Café features a range of hot, cold, savory, and sweet breakfast items, grilled and made-to-order sandwiches, daily specials, drinks and nibbles. And beginning in January, Ma’Chell will be working with an intern from FloatAway’s PR firm, The Reynolds Group, to develop a marketing program. She’d love to be able to take advance orders online, post daily specials to social media, and get regular feedback from clients. She’d also love to offer delivery and expanded catering services. Ma’Chell is hopeful that, with some marketing help, she’ll finally be able to provide these kinds of special services. She invites you to let her know what kinds of amenities, services and menu items you’d like to see added to Z Cafe’s offerings. Let’s all rally around Z Café in 2014 and help ensure Ma’Chell’s continued Z-Licious success. Remember, Z Café is available to cater your in-house meetings and events. Ma’Chell will always do her best to accommodate any special request.

Owner Nathan Smith says they chose to locate in the Floataway Community because they were drawn to the buildings vibe as well as the community’s diversity and convenient location. We asked Nathan, “Why Spaceman?” and he said, “Names are tough. We tried the ‘pointat-the-dictionary’ thing, but eventually chose ‘Spaceman’ after a night in Vegas...” Sounds like Spaceman Digital will fit right in around here! Welcome.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me... • 12 loads of pine straw • 11 locked-out tenants • 10 midnight phone calls • 9 unfortunate potholes • 8 Z Café sandwiches • 7 building permits • 6 geese a-honking • 5 crazy pen-boys • 4 calling landlords • 3 angry neighbors • 2 leaking HVAC’s • Less than last year’s parking lot sewage leaks!
All joking aside, it really has been a pretty good year. Hernan and I have been diligently following a maintenance calendar, and as a result, we’ve seen fewer roof leaks and parking lot sewage overflows than we have in past years. We’ve also really enjoyed welcoming several new tenants to the FloatAway family and shepherding them through their buildouts. The entire TuckerMott Team is pictured below. We are all at your service!
