welcome Dear Party Leader, Welcome to our latest 2016 Austrian ski brochure which features our extensive range of ski resorts and hotels suitable for school groups. Through listening to our Party Leaders, we have some excellent news which we believe will greatly enhance the skiing experience for all students travelling with us in 2016. We are guaranteeing that all groups who travel with us to Austria in 2016 will have a maximum of 10 students per 1 ski instructor. We firmly believe this will give enormous benefit to students who are learning to ski for the first time while at the same time allowing students who can already ski to make quicker progress to a more skilful level of skiing. On top of this market leading initiative, we are also providing a free soft drink of squash with dinner for all groups staying with us in Austria. We are delighted to confirm we received more outstanding feedback from our groups last winter with an overall satisfaction rating of 92%. They will be able to provide your group with all the ‘added extras’ that will make your school ski trip that extra bit special – from pre-booking evening entertainments to organising tour hoodies. Detail is key and the role of your tour coordinator is to ensure that everything is addressed before you depart the UK, ensuring that you have a stress-free experience whilst in resort.
Overseas Operations Team
Our Overseas Operations Team is packed with experience, local knowledge and excellent contacts, as well as a thorough understanding of what school groups want from their ski trip. With our permanent office in the heart of the Austrian Alps, the team’s focus is to ensure that we are working with carefully selected local suppliers in the best Austrian resorts. In addition to the intensive planning and preparation ahead of your tour, the Overseas Operations Team will ensure that we have professional and dedicated German speaking resort staff on hand to support your group throughout the duration of the trip.
Resort team
We follow a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that we provide the best possible in-resort team. We look for enthusiastic, passionate people who can deliver outstanding customer service. Once selected, all of our reps undergo the relevant background checks and take part in a thorough training course which includes Child Protection and Health & Safety. We have an extensive list of experienced reps who continue to work with us year after year – often requested by our groups following excellent performances from previous years. In the event of unlikely and unexpected incidents, our reps are fully supported by our Overseas Operations team, local offices, UK office and the TUI Duty Office.

The Beauty of Austria
Austria is the ultimate winter destination, offering fantastic skiing at an affordable price. Austria doesn’t just rely on this reputation, as constant improvements into modern lift systems and excellent snowmaking facilities has expanded the terrain and improved the skiing immensely. To enhance the skiing experience, numerous Austrian resorts are also improving their mountain restaurants, providing a unique dining experience. Off the slopes, our accommodation options are just as impressive. This ranges from modern, well equipped youth hotels to traditional guest houses, family run pensions and even four star hotels. Austria’s infrastructure ensures that the evening entertainments and recreational facilities offered are second to none.
High Altitude Skiing
The perception that Austria only offers low altitude skiing is a misconception. Although many of the Austrian villages are located at a height of 700m – 800m, most nursery slopes start at 1,500m above sea level with the main ski area continuing up from there. Be sure to check the height of each ski resort and you’ll find access to fantastic high level skiing with an excellent snow-sure record. You also have the assurance that Austrian resorts have a high concentration of snow-making facilities to supplement the snowfall throughout the season.
The World’s Best Glaciers
As part of the unique skiing experience, HTS groups have the option to visit some of Europe’s largest and most impressive Glaciers. The Hintertux Glacier, located at the far reaches of the Zillertal valley, offers skiing year round on one of the premier glacier skiing areas in the Alps. The Stubai Glacier is located directly south of Innsbruck and is rated one of the top glacier skiing areas in the world. With height of over 3200m, the snow throughout the winter can be outstanding whilst the length of the season is also impressive, running from late September through to early summer.
The Infrastructure
The infrastructure in our featured Austrian ski resorts is of an extremely high standard, with even the smallest villages boasting transportation links to other ski areas. This enables HTS groups to access the extensive skiing terrain on offer with ease. Austria has embraced innovation as ‘top quality’ is their utmost aim. New cutting-edge technology has improved cableways, gondolas and mountain restaurants, providing an unbeatable skiing experience for students and teachers alike.

Bad Kleinkirchheim
The Home of Franz Klammer
resort INFO
BKK, along with the interlinked village of St. Oswald, offers great intermediate skiing with wide tree lined runs, modern lifts and an efficient network of links. Major investment has centred on snow making facilities, offering almost 100% coverage to supplement what Mother Nature provides.
Seeboden is the most westerly resort on the Millstatt Lake and closest to the motorway. The charm of Seeboden lies in its tranquil and picturesque setting on the shores of the lake. The larger town of Spittal is a short drive away, with countless shops and amusements on-hand.
Most slopes are north facing which means they hold their snow and snow cover is enhanced by snow making (97%). The caring ski school encourages beginners who will soon gain confidence and progress to the sunnier, wider runs at St Oswald. Whilst not the most challenging resort for advanced skiers, the Franz Klammer World Cup Run is well worth testing out and many skiers also enjoy perfecting their technique on the multitude of red runs for which the resort is famous.
Dobriach is the closest village to BKK at the eastern end of the lake. It has some basic amenities; however there is a greater choice in Radenthein, just five minutes away.
Our groups are accommodated on Lake Millstatt which provides easy access to the ski area, whilst the towns Seeboden and Millstatt also have a good range of amenities and offer an affordable alternative to BKK.

Dachstein West
Excellent skiing with state-of-the-art facilities
resort INFO
Designated a UNESCO Heritage Centre, and set amidst some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe, the ski area of Dachstein West offers 140 km of piste and has proved a popular destination for school groups for many years. On-going improvements have enhanced the lift system and many drag lifts have been replaced with state-of-the-art chair lifts. The unspoilt and welcoming resorts we offer are steeped in tradition and their appeal is in their easy going atmosphere, as well as offering good value for money.
Bad Ischl is a former royal spa town, set in the heart of the Austrian Lake District. This attractive resort is surrounded by dramatic mountains. The charming centre and good infrastructure makes this a favourite destination with our groups. Strobl lies slightly to the west on the edge of Lake Wolfgang and is a small resort which is quiet in winter. Bad Ischl and Salzburg can both be easily reached.
Beginners will gain confidence on the long, tree-lined blue runs in Gosau or on the Astauwinkl in Annaberg. Intermediates will appreciate the wide variety of red runs on the Zwieselalm, which offers good links to Annaberg and Russbach. The artificial snow coverage continues to be improved year on year, hardly surprising that Dachstein West now makes a perfect destination for school parties and offers great value for money.
With two access lifts in the village connecting to Russbach and Annaberg, the charming village of Gosau offers a great base from where to explore the ski area of Dachstein West. There are basic facilities on hand in the village, all of which can be reached by foot from the hotel.

Heiligenblut
The legendary mountain ski resort Heiligenblut is located at the foot of the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. To ski in its shadow, surrounded by spectacular scenery (many peaks over 3000m), is a memorable experience for even the most seasoned skier. Due to the altitude, the resort is particularly suited to late season skiing but is able to augment natural snow with 50 snow cannons. Groups soon progress from the village to the confidence building blue runs on the two mountains which make up the Heiligenblut ski area - connected by a mountain tunnel. However, the number and variety of red runs make this a paradise for intermediate skiers who will also appreciate the efficient and modern lift system and minimal queuing.
resort INFO This delightful village has good facilities, shops, banks and leisure amenities. The main access lift and nursery slopes are found in the village centre and there are a range of cafes and bars around the bottom station. There is also a swimming pool in the resort, within walking distance of the hotel. The resort is extremely popular with Austrian school groups who appreciate the convenience of the skiing and the charm of the village.
In Heiligenblut we can offer doorstep skiing which enables groups to get the most out of their ski trip and spend as much time as possible on the slopes. The nursery slope is by the hotel and the main access lifts are only a short walk away from the hotel.

Kitzbühel
Experience the Hahnenkamm
resort INFO
This world class resort has some of the most modern lifts in Europe which, coupled with the extensive snow making facilities, ensure some of the most exhilarating and satisfying skiing available anywhere in our programme. Home of the world famous Hahnenkamm men’s downhill ski race, our groups have the unique chance to ski parts of the course, which is locally known as the Streif.
Mittersill is a medium sized town with a good range of amenities, giving speedy access to the Kitzbühel ski area either from Hollersbach or from Pass Thurn. There is an interesting National Park Centre in the town.
Kitzbühel is a beginner’s paradise, with dedicated learning areas on Pass Thurn or at the Fleckalmbahn Gondola between Kitzbühel and Kirchberg. For the seasoned skier, the “ski safari” is a wonderful scenic route taking you from the Hahnenkamm, zig-zagging across the mountains to the Resterhöhe lift at Pass Thurn. Kitzbühel is a great choice for late season skiers, as the area offers good snow conditions and uncrowded pistes. Kitzbühel’s cosmopolitan pedestrian centre offers first class shopping opportunities, along with a wide selection of bars, restaurants as well as a great après-ski atmosphere. The nearby sports centre, along with the Aquarena, is a great venue for evening entertainments. 1

Lofer & Schneewinkel
Two snow sure resorts with a great range of skiing
resort INFO
Nestled between the Wilder Kaiser Mountains and the Kitzbühler Alps, the Schneewinkel offers a wide choice of skiing in a number of different resorts, all amidst beautiful surroundings. Locals refer to the area as a “Schneeloch”, meaning it seems to get more snowfall than the surrounding resorts. Lofer has a long and successful association with school groups and the quaint village centre, with its pedestrianised zone, sits directly at the bottom of the lift.
Unken is a pretty border town close to the historic city of Salzburg and the Loferer Alm ski area. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and is quite unspoilt. There is an indoor swimming pool in the centre of the village which is extremely popular with our groups.
Lofer and the Schneewinkl are two separate ski areas, both offering excellent skiing opportunities. For groups staying in Unken, Lofer is the nearest resort and is well suited for beginners and intermediates. For groups staying in Kirchdorf, Oberndorf and Fieberbrunn, they will find themselves in the heart of the Schneewinkel ski area which comprises St. Johann, Fieberbrunn and the Steinplatte. Although these resorts aren’t currently linked, an efficient ski bus service will transport our groups from one ski area to another. Fieberbrunn also hosts a round of the World Cup Freeride Competition which sees the world’s best freeriders in this resort.

Matrei
One of the most beautiful regions in the Alps The linked ski areas of Matrei and Kals offer over 100km of high level skiing. This fabulous resort is set in the heart of the Höhe Tauern National Park and in the shadow of the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest peak. From here it’s possible to see 60 peaks above 3000m, giving the impression that you’re on top of the world! Access to the slopes is by the efficient and speedy Goldried gondola whose valley station is a short walk from the hotel. Arriving at the top station, the whole ski area unfolds with a great choice of open blue and red runs. Beginners can immediately access the nursery slopes whilst a fun park is on hand for snowboarders. More confident skiers may wish to tackle the 12km home run from the Cimaross top station. This area is a great choice for early and late season skiing.
resort INFO Matrei is rapidly becoming a favourite destination for our groups. It offers good value for money and great skiing by virtue of its position in the shadow of Austria’s highest mountain range. Good facilities either in Matrei or Lienz (approx. 20mins away) are on hand and the resort centre can be reached by foot from the hotel in a few minutes.
The resort of Matrei is attractive and unspoilt and offers a good range of amenities. However, the larger town of Lienz, only a short coach ride away, is a popular destination for evening entertainments.

Montafon
One of the largest ski areas in Austria
resort INFO
This imposing and impressive valley is located in the west of Austria, close to the Swiss border, and offers great skiing for all abilities in a very snow-sure environment. Pretty, traditional villages strung along the valley floor offer a warm welcome and our accommodation is especially convenient to access the extensive and modern lift system.
St Gallenkirch lies towards the end of the Montafon Valley and is near to the Gaschurn ski area. It has its own lift which takes you from the village into the Silvretta Nova ski area.
The Montafon ski area prides itself on offering something for everyone. Beginners are well catered for with gentle, well groomed blues whilst advanced skiers have the advantage of the new lift between St. Gallenkirch and the Hochjoch ski area, which link the two large ski areas togeather. Our groups receive a full valley pass covering the three ski areas; Silvretta Nova, Gargellen and Golm. One highlight is to ski the Hochjoch ski tunnel which, at 476m in length, is the longest in the world. Montafon is a much sought-after destination and offers great early and late season skiing. With many iconic mountains surrounding the resort, skiers appreciate the breath-taking scenery both on and off the slopes.

Mühlbach/Hochkönig
Uncrowded and charming, with exceptional snow The Hochkönig ski area forms part of the impressive Ski Amadé region, one of the largest in Austria. Recent developments have completed the links, enabling our groups to ski from Mühlbach in the East to Maria Alm in the West – all on uncrowded and well groomed slopes. The area is characterised by small, traditional villages such as Dienten and Maria Alm which offer Austrian ‘Gemütlichkeit’ in abundance. The ski school in Mühlbach is consistently highly rated and the resort is a great choice for all levels of skiers. The skiing area offers wide, interconnecting slopes and beginners will quickly gain their confidence on the sunny slopes of the Arthurhaus plateau before moving on to join the intermediates in the main ski area on the Schneeberg, which is accessed by the comfortable Karbachalm Gondola. Intermediate and advanced skiers are also well catered for, as red runs account for over half the available skiing. A good range of après-ski possibilities are on offer after a full day on the slopes.

RESORT INFO Mühlbach is a delightful, traditional village with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ski slopes can be easily reached and most amenities are available in the resort. Mühlbach lies 8km from the motorway and the town of Bischofshofen which also has good amenities on offer. Oberlungau
A paradise for intermediate skiers
RESORT INFO
Characterised by charming, unspoilt villages and boasting an enviable snow record well into April, it’s hardly surprising that Oberlungau is one of our most sought-after destinations. The three ski areas, Katschberg, Grosseck – Speiereck and Fanningberg offer a modern lift system, wide, varied open runs and good progression. The new gondola in St Michael, replacing the chairlift in the village, has helped to enhance the Speiereck and skiers are now transported in less than ten minutes to the top station. Groups can upgrade to the Lungo pass which covers Oberlungau and Obertauern. The ski schools take great pride in the standard of tuition and are consistently highly rated by our groups. Many groups start either on the nursery slopes at village level in St Michael or Mauterndorf, whilst the uncrowded slopes of Fanningberg are also a good starting point. Most of the red runs are found on the Katschberg and this mountain has great snow cover and wide open pistes. The 6km long A1 slope from the top of the Katschberg to St Margarethen has been rated as one of the best in the Alps.

Our groups love the traditional and unspoilt atmosphere and appreciate the facilities on offer. Rennweg and Malta are just a few minutes from Gmünd and are peaceful villages with basic amenities. Mauterndorf and Mariapfarr are both charming and historic settlements. Mauterndorf is dominated by a spectacular fortress dating back to the Middle Ages. The village is often used in film sets thanks to the narrow, winding streets and colourfully painted buildings, many dating back several centuries

Obertauern
Alpine tradition with a modern infrastructure One of the best interlinked ski areas in the Alps, Obertauern prides itself on the long winter season from November to May, making it a firm favourite with HTS groups. The centre of the resort is at 1700m, at the top of the pass connecting the Salzburger Sportwelt to Oberlungau. The Obertauern ski area radiates from here and it is possible to ski both clockwise and anti-clockwise, courtesy of the well planned lift system and interlinking pistes. The ski pass for Obertauern also includes the Grosseck – Speiereck ski area of Oberlungau. Great beginners’ areas, with good snow cover right throughout the season, are easily accessible from our hotels, whilst the wide open pistes inspire confidence and encourage more experienced skiers to test their ability. As expected from a top class resort, expert skiers are also well catered for – the challenging mogul runs on the Gamsleiten are just one example of the excitement on offer. Snowboarders will not be disappointed; Obertauern has a snow park and comes highly recommended. In short, Obertauern’s popularity is well deserved and has become one of our most popular destinations.
1
resort INFO Obertauern came into its own in the 1960s and since then has become one of the most popular resorts in Austria. It is located at 1700m, on the top of the Radstädter Tauern pass road, and is the closest Austria has to a purpose built resort. Nevertheless, the buildings retain a true alpine style and the quality and standard of accommodation and amenities is first class.

Saalbach Hinterglemm
One of Austria’s largest interconnecting ski areas One of the most impressive ski areas in Austria, the twin resorts of Saalbach and Hinterglemm have long been a favourite destination for our groups, thanks to the excellent links, lift system and wide ranging resort infrastructure. Both villages retain their traditional character and are well known for their lively après-ski, with bars, cafés and restaurants in abundance. Saalbach Hinterglemm hosted the World Cup championships in the early 1990s and continues to attract an international guest list. There are a number of beginner slopes within the ski area suited for gaining confidence or for seasoned skiers who wish to get their ski legs back. More challenging red and blue runs abound and for advanced skiers, the black runs from the top of the Schattberg and Zwölfer mountains should not be missed. Snowboarders will appreciate the snowboard parks which are internationally renowned. In all, Saalbach Hinterglemm is an outstanding resort for skiers and snowboarders at any level.
1
RESORT INFO Saalbach Hinterglemm comprises of two villages 3km apart. They are both bustling and lively and have become renowned for the vibrant après-ski and party atmosphere. The villages are pedestrianized and offer every conceivable amenity to enhance a winter sports holiday.

Skiers of all abilities, snowboarders and those seeking lively après-ski will not be disappointed. By contrast, Ötz is more sedate but has an impressive range of skiing and is a great choice for those wishing to build confidence at the start of the week. Sölden’s ski area boats 145km of piste and skiing enthusiasts can ski uninterruptedly from the village up to the glaciers at the elevation of 3,250m. Our groups will find easy beginner slopes in Innerwald and at Giggijoch, varied blue and red ski pistes spread all over the ski area and truly challenging ski routes at the Gaislachkogl ski mountain.

St Anton am Arlberg
The Cradle of Alpine Skiing This legendary ski area, known as the cradle of alpine skiing, is a world class resort of great renown. It is one of the largest ski areas in Austria and, due to the altitude and extensive snow making facilities, offers snow-sure skiing well into spring. St Anton, despite its fame, still retains much of its village atmosphere and old world charm, however its reputation for lively après-ski is well justified. The wide, blue runs of the Galzig Mountain are great for beginners to build their confidence and progress whilst intermediate skiers will find the long, varied red runs from the Kapall and Gampen provide some scenic as well as challenging pistes. However, it’s the advanced skier who has the most challenges with steep black runs and mogul fields from Mattun and Schindler Kar guaranteed to generate excitement. The longest run (10km) from the top of the Valluga presents a further challenge. There is a snowboard park on the Rendl Mountain that is extremely popular with boarders of all abilities.

Stubai/Innsbruck
Olympic City offering snow-sure skiing Innsbruck is a great base from which to absorb the full winter sports experience and our groups are always impressed with the wide range of amenities on offer. Innsbruck hosted the winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976, and in 2012 hosts the first Youth Winter Olympics. Away from the city, the beautiful Stubai Valley offers snow-sure skiing well into the summer months and is used by national teams for training. A variety of lift passes are available, depending on where groups are accommodated or on their ability. Some like the flexibility offered of the regional pass which covers all nine ski areas surrounding the city. However, most of our groups opt for the ski pass which includes the local ski area of Tulfes (Glungezer) and Axamer Lizum, the most popular and convenient area to Innsbruck which offers 60km of snow sure skiing in total. Groups in the Stubai valley automatically receive the Stubai Super Ski Pass which offers 140km of skiing in the valley and on the Stubai Glacier.

Our groups stay in or around the stunningly beautiful Grundlsee, mid-way between the Tauplitzalm and the Loser. The whole area has a rather nostalgic feel to it; the villages are picturesque and have changed little over the years. However, the main town of Bad Aussee, a spa centre with small, narrow streets leading off the main thoroughfare, offers a range of amenities for evening entertainments and the area represents good value for money both on and off the slopes.
resort INFO Bad Aussee is a stylish, traditional town in the heart of the Styrian Lake District. It has a compact centre and numerous cafes, bars and shops. It is a spa centre and has an impressive array of historic buildings lining the main street. The Grundlsee Lake is a few minutes away and the Loser ski area is 10-15 minutes by coach. Groups can also reach Tauplitz with ease.
Both ski areas suit beginners and intermediates and are popular with families and school groups from Austria who appreciate the impressive snow record, well groomed slopes and good wintersports infrastructure. Skiers are also impressed with the short lift queues and uncrowded pistes, especially in Loser which has a modern lift system and where most groups begin the week before progressing to the Tauplitzalm, which is also covered on the lift pass.

Wildschönau / Ski Juwel
A skiing Jewel in the heart of Austria The newly connected Ski Juwel ski area, which links Auffach and Inneralpbach, has more than doubled the available skiing covered on the lift pass. The Wildschönau still retains considerable charm and continues to be a firm favourite with school groups. The traditional and unpretentious villages and genuinely warm welcome extended to guests characterise this delightful valley. Our groups either begin on the Markbachjoch in Niederau, where nursery slopes are at village level or at the middle station in Auffach, where there is an excellent beginners’ area accessed by the Schatzberg gondola. Groups soon progress to the gentle, wide blue runs at the top of the gondola in Niederau. Most intermediate skiers concentrate on Auffach, where numerous red runs can be accessed from the top station of the gondola and it’s from here the link with Inneralpbach begins. A red run takes skiers down to the middle station from where Inneralpbach can be reached. Snowboarders have also discovered the delights of Auffach and the Snowpark on the Schatzberg is a highlight.

resort INFO The attractive village of Oberau is in the heart of the valley and have been a favourite destination for British skiers for decades. Oberau is the largest village but the more challenging skiing and connection to Inneralpbach is found in Auffach. Good facilities off the slopes are also available to our groups either in the Wildschönau valley or in Wörgl, only a short drive away. Radfeld is a delightful village in the Inn Valley with good facilities and close to Worgl and the historic town of Rattenberg. The slopes of the Wildschonau or Alpbach can be reached by a 20 minute drive.

Wurzeralm Hinterstoder
A true Austrian gem with an excellent snow record Thanks to its excellent snow record, this area has been a popular skiing destination since the beginning of the twentieth century. Today, it hosts world cup ski races, indeed the new world cup run on the Hinterstoder has been named after the downhill world champion, Hannes Trinkl. Wurzeralm has the fastest funicular railway in Europe too. Our groups are accommodated in the small town of Spital, conveniently located between the Wurzeralm and Hinterstoder and only minutes from the motorway.
resort INFO Spital am Pyhrn is set in the heart of Upper Austria and surrounded by mountains. Spital is the regional centre and dominated by a beautiful cathedral. There are good amenities and excellent transport links to the two featured ski areas.
Most groups start on the Wurzeralm from where beginners soon progress from the gentle nursery slopes to the well groomed tree-lined blues and reds. Steeper and more challenging skiing is available on the Hinterstoder, whilst snowboarders will certainly enjoy the Snowpark at Fun & Action Hill (300m long). Lift queues tend to be negligible, as many groups remark on how efficiently and swiftly the lift systems operate. Whilst not so well-known with the British market, this ski area attracts school groups from Austria who appreciate the benefits and excellent value it offers.

Zell am See
Guaranteed skiing from November to June
resort INFO
Enjoying one of the most spectacular settings in Austria, Zell am See is enduringly popular as a skier’s paradise. We offer our school groups a great selection of villages around Zell am See, all within a short journey to the slopes by coach. The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, which is included in the lift pass, offers year round skiing, guaranteeing good conditions early and late season.
The beautiful lakeside setting and enormous range of leisure facilities are just two of the attractions of Zell am See. Our groups love the pedestrianised centre with great après-ski bars, cafés, shops and restaurants on offer. At the foot of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and surrounded by spectacular scenery, the small village of Fusch has become a real favourite with our groups.
Most groups access the Zell am See ski area with the Areitbahn Gondola and it is here that the beginners will spend their first days. There are some wide-open runs at the back of the Schmittenhöhe, whilst more experienced skiers may prefer the Sonnkogel which is linked to the Schmittenhöhe. The gentle nursery slopes in Kaprun help beginners to gain confidence before moving on to the higher slopes of the Maiskogel or onto the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. At Easter, the glacier offers snow-sure skiing as well as spectacular views over the Höhe Tauern National Park. It’s no surprise that Zell am See is one of the most loved destinations for our schools.

Ziller Valley
One of the most extensive ski areas in Austria
resort INFO
A well-known destination to the British skier, the Ziller Valley consists of three large ski areas plus the Hintertux Glacier - which means extensive and snow-sure skiing is available throughout the winter season to all abilities. Our groups are accommodated at the northern end of the valley which allows easy access to evening entertainment venues, such as the indoor swimming pool in Fügen. Many of our groups skiing the Ziller Valley choose to visit Innsbruck for an evening, as it’s only a short coach journey away and offers a wealth of après-ski attractions.
Bruck is a small farming village, offering good access to the main Ziller Valley ski areas and resorts. It is quiet and peaceful but from here Fügen and Kaltenbach can be accessed along the valley road. The main Inn Valley motorway is also close by. Hart is close to Kaltenbach and Fügen and is just off the main valley road. The extensive indoor swimming complex at Fügen is popular evening venue for our groups. Brixlegg is outside the main Ziller Valley but offers good access to the ski area via the motorway. It has a delightful and historic centre and small winding streets enhance its charm. There are a selection of shops, restaurants and cafés on hand. Radfeld is a delightful village in the Inn Valley with good facilities and the Ziller Valley can be easily reached from here.
The Ziller Valley has an excellent snow record due to the altitude of the various ski areas and the excellent snow-making facilities. The huge investment over the last few years in lift systems and links between the previously separate resorts has made the region a massive draw for all nationalities. Skiers and boarders of all levels appreciate the well groomed slopes and well planned links as well as the ever increasing amount of snow parks in the region.
