DORIAN WILLIAMS

FORT MILL, S.C.

Are you a player that feeds off the crowd? How important is it for you and the team to have fans in the stands? “I feel like it’s important to have fans back in the stadium. You really get that juice from the crowd and the sidelines. There’s is nothing like having a crowd in the stands. Last year not having fans in the stands, it really showed you how much you need your teammates to really bring the juice as well, because when you don’t have fans, it takes the home field advantage out of play.” Having led the conference in tackles last season have you set a goal for yourself going into this season to surpass that mark? “All we have is team goals here. We want to win a conference championship, play the best we can play, help a teammate, play special teams and play defense. I’ll even get in there and play offense if you need me to.”

What is the best part about competing? “Making plays. Just being out there making the crowd go crazy and making your family proud. There is nothing better than putting a smile on your family’s face, my family makes it to every game.” Coach Hampton is energetic, do you guys feed off his energy and how does that affect your on-field presence? “We all feed off each other. He gives us the juice, when we’re down we pick him up and we just feed off each other.”
