The Tulane School of Liberal Arts Magazine, published twice a year by Tulane University's School of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office, explores the school’s approach to larger questions and issues in the social sciences and humanities, faculty research and teaching methodologies, and student service and creative endeavors, celebrating the broader definition of a liberal arts education. The Spring/Summer 2020 NEW ORLEANS ISSUE explores the alchemy between Tulane and New Orleans by taking an in-depth look at the city as a complex, global port city with profound challenges, little recognized populations, effaced historical episodes, and lessons for the world. This issue features articles by scholars, teachers, students, artists, and activists including Richard Campanella, Emily Clark, Geoff Dancy, Annie McNeill Gibson, Doug Harris, Kenneth Hoffman, T.R.
