Bixby High School junior Garrett Wheeler, working on character development during his drama class, was recently cast in Bixby Theater Department’s production of “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” based on the novel by Oscar Wilde. Bixby will be competing with this show at the Oklahoma One Act Play Festival on Oct. 3 at Union High School, and as a part of the OSSAA One Act Play Contest. Bixby is among the fastest growing cities in Oklahoma. Since the 2000 census, the population has grown by 70 percent to 22,580 residents.
