Volunteers are a key part of operations at the Food Bank, helping at events, gardening, working in the kitchen and offices. In these photos, they are helping in the Volunteer Center sorting, inspecting, and taking inexpensively purchased bulk food items and repackaging it for our Partner Agencies to use. Last year nearly 10,000 volunteers (including employees from American Airlines) provided over 68,000 hours of work, saving the Food Bank over $1.5 million in labor costs.
