Of Ngāti Maniapoto descent, I have maintained the position of editor of TU MAI magazine and a director since the magazine was launched in 1999 at Wellington's Te Papa Museum. In 2010, the glossy print format was replaced as an E-magazine. My commitment to TU MAI magazine is to ensure it has a balance of passive, positive, and provocative content from an Indigenous Maori perspective. I am also the co-founder of Miromoda - the Indigenous maori Fashion Apparel Board and a trustee of TIKI - the entity that manages the Toi Iho Maori trademark of quality and authenticity.
