About me My name is Tumelo Malatji. I am from Lebowakgomo, a small town in Limpopo province on the outskirts of Polokwane. I am a Candidate Architect fulfilling my duties towards becoming a professional. My plan has always been that I would return home upon completion of my studies as I had realised the great potential there is there for infrastructural development and growth. I realised that in order for me to also step up and help in giving back to my community my Architecture degree alone would not be of help. I did my mentorship at One-Two-Six architects in Norwood Johannesburg where I did my own freelance work with the advice and supervision of director Nick Ristic. I also do freelance architectural draftwork for MJ & Associates under supervision of MJ Malatji, where I am doing my research on town development and land use regulations in the city of Johannesburg. I am hoping that this opportunity will give me the ability to grow as an architect to the point of being able to become a leader myself, and that the skills I gain through these experiences will aid me in the work I wish to take on at home.
