Tumwater Youth Program

Tumwater Youth Program (TYP) offers evening activities for teens and pre-teens in the Tumwater community. Grade school activities are open to grades 2-5 and middle school activities are open to grades 6-8. TYP events are a place to have fun, socialize with friends, interact positively with adults, and so much more.

TYP Spring Break Camp

Join us for fun and adventure with your classmates at the TYP Spring Break Camp! From our base camp at Michael T. Simmons Elementary, participants will engage in two days of group games, crafts, and entertainment from special daily guest organizations including Archery Tag, video games, a magic show and much more! Participants need to bring a sack lunch and snacks; a water bottle and backpack are also recommended. Health and safety precautions will be in place following State and County Health Department guidelines. Masks required.

Dates: Tuesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 8 Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Location: Michael T. Simmons Elementary Grades: 6 - 12 Min/Max: 4/10 Fee: $40 per day

TYP Archery Tag Nights

Join your friends and class mates for an action packed night of Archery Tag! What is Archery Tag? Think dodgeball, but with foam tipped arrows! Dip, duck, dodge, and dive to avoid getting tagged by your opponents. Snacks, music, and archery tag supplies are provided. Masks required. $10 fee and pre-registration required. Register online!

TYP Video Game Leagues

Teens, put your skills to the test during our TYP Video Game League! TYP is excited to offer a way for our community’s youth to socialize and compete on popular games for Nintendo Switch, XBOX One, and PlayStation 4.
