Following on from Design Research Lab 1 you will explore a simple organism and model it. I need to build an artificial organism (using the Processing programming language) which I will use as a component to generate models of architectural spatial formations. The module will start with an introduction to the basics of computer programming. I am learning the Processing programming language and looking at agent-based modelling as a means to generating architectural spatial formations. Investigating simple organisms I will model a paramecium in 2D, to build artificial organisms that respond to differences in their environment. I will extend into 3-dimensions to develop models generating architectural spatial compositions.
The first task in constructing my own artificial creature is to explore what sorts of simple organisms exist already to understand what they do and how to determine what sort of creature I will build in processing. I have to explore what exists
