WHY CHINA?

BEIJING LANGUAGE AND CULTURE UNIVERSITY (BLCU)

Over the next 20 years China will rival the USA as the world’s dominant economy.

LANGUAGE COURSE PROVIDER

For some time, many Chinese students have seen the potential career benefits stemming from the acquisition of a UK education and specifically acquiring English language skills. However, as China continues to develop economically, individuals from the developed economies with good Chinese language skills will enjoy significant career opportunities either in China or elsewhere. The obvious place to learn Chinese is China itself, a country which is also home to some of the world´s great tourist treasures - the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Terracotta Army.

You will study the language element of the course at the Beijing Languages and Culture University, China’s leading institution for language learning and research. As well as Chinese students studying a variety of modern language degrees, including English, there is a large body of international students from Europe, South America, Japan, Korea studying Chinese language and culture. This will provide China Pathway students with a unique opportunity to study in a multi-cultural environment and form new international friendships and contacts.
