Located in Brookville, LIU Post’s wooded suburban campus is only 20 miles—just 50 minutes by car—away from the excitement of New York City. LIU Post provides individualized attention to each student with both the small class sizes and the ability to customize the wide selection of study programs to help meet their unique goals. The average student to teacher ratio is 13:1. International students are offered special programs that give them access to, and smooth their transition into, the American University environment: ESL Transition Program • Undergraduate Transition Program and Graduate Transition Program available • Usually 1 or 2 semesters duration, depending on English language level • Curriculum includes language acquisition (listening, speaking, writing, grammar, reading), academic preparation (library mentoring program, tutoring services, labs, test taking skill, note taking) and cultural adaptation • Opportunity to co-enroll in academic credit courses while improving English proficiency • No official TOEFL or IELTS score needed for Undergraduate Transition applicants • International students on the Undergraduate Transition program are issued a 5-year i-20 immigration document • ESL only fast-track option in the summer semester
Pre-MBA Bridge Program The Pre-M.B.A. or “Bridge Program” is a nondegree program that allows students to earn the additional 30 credits needed to equate their three-year bachelor’s degree to that of a four-year US bachelor’s degree. This program offers the equivalent of the fourth year of undergraduate coursework necessary to start the MBA Master’s curriculum. The GMAT is recommended but not required. Students can be considered for admission without the GMAT and can prepare for the exam while on campus. Completion of the Bridge Program does not guarantee students acceptance into the MBA Program. Students must formally apply for admission into the MBA program after beginning the second semester of the Bridge Program, and must submit an acceptable GMAT score before they can be accepted to the MBA program.

The 2,200 seat Tilles Center for the Performing Arts provides LIU Post students and the public with an internationally recognized performance venue, featuring some of the most important classical and popular artists of our time. There are 3 additional theaters that host an array of performances throughout the year. Hailed by The New York Times for its impressive collections, the Hillwood Art Museum serves as an integral part of the cultural resources at LIU Post. There are 2 galleries that showcase other art on campus. LIU Post also has active studio facilities for TV, radio, dance, film, photography, and fine arts.
The Life Science/Pell Hall Building provides ample laboratory and lecture facilities, such as SMART-room technology classrooms and a well-equipped modern forensic science laboratory to enhance the hands-on student experience.
