Value of Infrastructure: A great amount of time and resources goes into the maintenance of TID’s vital structures and facilities in order to protect the essential services provided to our customers.

Value of Reliability: To meet the needs of our customers and secure reliable energy, TID has made significant investments in local generation, transmission, and distribution facilities.

Value of History: As the first irrigation district in California, TID has been a pioneer in providing irrigation water for over 135 years and retail power for 100 years to our customers, and uses what we have learned to better our community’s future.

Value of Innovation: TID continues to seek new ideas and implement even more efficient solutions to further enhance our operations.

Value of Local Control: TID’s locally elected Board has the decision-making authority to act on the current and future needs of the District including whether or not to maintain current infrastructure or purchase or secure new generation and water resources and opportunities.

Value of Advocacy: TID is committed to protecting the interests of TID water and power customers at the local, state and federal level, and educating legislators and community members on the important work of providing essential services to our region.

TID.org/Podcast | TID’s Community Grant Program: Applications Open March 1 –April 19 TID’s Powering Our Communities Grant Program is open to municipalities, counties and school districts. Eligible organizations are invited to submit an application for funding that supports energy efficiency projects benefiting TID’s service territory. Visit TID.org/grants for more information about project eligibility and application requirements. As a trusted community partner, TID recognizes that we can accomplish more when we work together. In recognition of this, TID has established the “Powering Our Communities” Program. “Powering Our Communities” is a grant-type program available to organizations in the TID service area that aims to provide financial support for projects benefitting the community. TID is calling upon non-profit organizations to identify projects that meet the criteria outlined below. We look forward to partnering with you to make improvements that make our community an even better place to live, work and play. ELIGIBLE ENTITIES: 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organizations POWERING OUR COMMUNITIES ELIGIBLE PROJECT EXAMPLES • Energy Efficiency Projects • Facility Improvements • Neighborhood Lighting Commercial Kitchen Upgrades Energy Education Programs Electric Vehicle Projects Serving Low Income Community • Shared EV Mobility • Shared EV Charging Stations • Demonstration of an energy technology for which there is no consumer adoption, or limited consumer adoption PROJECT SCORING All projects will be reviewed against a set of scoring criteria and measured on the following components (not limited to): Projects benefitting the underserved • Safety • Recreation/Education AWARD VALUE The value awarded will be based on a tiered system based on overall project cost for a maximum of $50,000 per project. GRANT TIMELINE Grants will be awarded once a year. April 1 - May 18 Applications Accepted June 1 Award Date ADDITIONAL INFORMATION • Funds not eligible for past or completed projects. • Payment - Grantee will receive payment once project has been completed and is able to provide copies of paid receipts showing the project cost of the installed measure. • Organizations can submit multiple applications. If funds aren’t exhaused, please priortize projects to be scored accordingly. RECOGNITION OF PARTNERSHIP In return for funding, awarded organizations or agencies will recognize the partnership with some manner of public acknowledgement; i.e. permanent signage, social media recognition, etc. Opportunities for recognition of TID support will be mutually agreed upon as part of the overall grant agreement. Please visit TID.org/grants for more information $50 REBATE AVAILABLE In April 2023, TID will be offering a $50.00 rebate to residential customers that have an HVAC tune up performed by a qualified professional. Rebate applications will be accepted for any HVAC tune up performed during April 1st – September 30th of this year while funds are available.
