March 1 Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Segal Kora and cello combine for this soulful collaboration. 3 Tord Gustavsen | Hymns and Visions Jazz pianist’s new project featuring vocalist Simin Tander. 8 Federico C0lli Bach, Brahms, Franck and Schumann from the excellent Italian pianist. 9 Recorder Extravaganza at Central Hall Joglaresa perform with children from local schools. 15 Doric String Quartet Schubert’s great final string quartet, plus music by Haydn and Korngold. 18 Moogmemories Matthew Bourne’s project explores the unique sound of the Memorymoog. 19 Christian McBride and Edgar Meyer Masters of the double bass present a diverse programme. April 14 Hot Club of Cowtown An infectious blend of hot jazz and Western swing. 15 Yundi Chinese superstar pianist presents an all-Chopin programme. 17 Julian Joseph with SYJO Jazz pianist and Southampton Youth Jazz Orchestra play Count Basie. 19 Mugenkyo Drummers Experience the thundering, exhilarating rhythms of Taiko drumming. 22 Eroica Unwrapped with John Suchet són explore Beethoven’s great masterpiece. 23 Kathryn Tickell and The Side Master of the Northumbrian pipes returns with her band. 28 Pascal Schumacher World-class vibraphone player with music from his new jazz album. 30 Marcin Dylla Gifted Polish classical guitarist makes his Turner Sims debut. May 5 Vienna Piano Trio | Brahms Series III The series concludes with Brahms’ last Piano Trio. 6 Tim Garland Jazz saxophonist performs with his electrifying quartet. 10 Savina Yannatou and Primavera en Salonico A UK first for the Greek vocalist’s stunning project. 12 Sacconi Quartet Acclaimed ensemble perform Mozart, Mendelssohn and Jonathan Dove. 14 Emily Portman and The Coracle Band Singer and concertina player with her all-star band. 21 Phronesis MOBO nominated jazz trio with music from their new album. 22 Puttnam plays Puttnam Film and live music introduced by the legendary film-director. June 3 Roby Lakatos Ensemble Virtuosic Gypsy violinist and his brilliant band. 7 Darius Brubeck Quartet Expect Take Five, Unsquare Dance and more. 9 Joanna MacGregor Pianist closes the season with music from Beethoven and Stravinsky.
