TUSA & THE ENVIRONMENT
TUSA is working to promote environmental conservation and resource utilization activities to better our ocean’s future. We try to collaborate with ocean conscious organizations every year and in 2023, we collaborated with the Reef Restoration Foundation based out of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia as part of our marine protection activities. This time, from the perspective of resource utilization, we have created mesh bags using recycled fishing net materials to encourage beach and ocean cleaning activities.
WHAT’S THE PROCESS?
Littered fishing nets are collected from the ocean.
The nets are broken down and turned into raw material.
The raw material is made into the final thread which will make the mesh bag.
