Percent Calculator Percent Calculator Fraction numbers are the numbers which are represented in numerator and denominator form. Suppose that there are two integers a & b, they are represented in fraction form as a/b. Here b must not be equal to 0. Then a/b is a fraction. Like other numbers, fraction numbers also include use of various types of operation like addition , subtraction, multiplication and division. These are the basic functions which we are performed in various types of number systems. Here we are going to demonstrate the addition of fractional numbers by using Adding Fractions Calculator. When we are going to perform the addition operation on the fraction numbers then we have to focus on some points, which helps in solving the addition of fraction numbers in a correct and proper way. If we ignore these points then we never get the correct answer and we will not be able to understand the concept. The points are given below:

Point 1: Always focus on denominator which must be equal. Point 2 : After that add the numerators of both numbers. Point 3 : Then if needed reduce the final fraction to a more simpler form. Now we demonstrate the above points by solving the fractional numbers.

Example 1: solve the given fraction (3 / 6) + (5 / 6)? Solution: In the above question 3 and 5 are termed as numerator & both 6s are the common denominators of both fraction numbers. Now we follow the process. = 3/6 +5/6 = (3+5)/6

(here we take 6 as a common denominator)

= 8/6 = 4/3 ( after getting 8 / 6 we simplify the fraction by dividing the numerator and denominator by 2) Here is another example which demonstrates the simplification of fractional numbers, but there is a different case when the denominator of both fraction numbers are different. Then question arises “what we do?” In that situation the whole process as we declare above is same but here we need to do some extra work to solve the problem. We show you by example:

Example 2: Solve the fraction 3 / 4 + 5 / 3? Solution: In the above example we see that both the denominators of the fractions numbers are not equal. Then to solve the fraction by adding them we have to equalize the both denominator. Here we show the process in following steps Point1: We take both denominators then perform the least frequent method on them. After applying LCM on both denominators we find the answer is 12

LCM = 4*3 =12 Point 2: we see that for both denominators 12 is a common factor number then we multiply both fractions with corresponding numbers to equalize the denominators of both fractions. 3/4* 3/3 = 9/12 5/3* 4/4 = 20/12 Point 3: at last we add both numerators and then simplify them 9/12 + 20/12 = 29/12
