Dragon Family Newsletter SPRING 2018 Residence Life and Housing Housing selection for the 2018-19 academic year will commence at the beginning of April. This is the time when students can choose where they wish to live, as well as the roommate(s) they wish to live with. Tiffin University operates seven residence halls, 40+ houses and seven apartment buildings (upperclassmen only) for students to choose from. Students are required by Tiffin University policy to live on-campus for their first, second and third year of attendance. Housing Selection will take place via the Tiffin University Housing Portal. This process allows students to decide on their own room assignment for the following year. It is VERY important that students complete the entire housing application in a timely manner so that their wishes may be granted. Residence Life and Housing Operations will offer detailed explanations concerning the 2018-19 process as housing selection approaches. Housing placements will be confirmed by Tiffin University email.

We need to be able to see your 2018-2019 FAFSA before you fill out many forms for next year, like summer classes or internships. Turning in your FAFSA now allows you much more time to complete required documents for next year. If you need help completing documents, it is often easier to meet with a financial aid counselor in-person and on-campus, before leaving for summer break. Many scholarships ask for a copy of your Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) or for your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). You must have your FAFSA completed for this information. If you don’t have it done before scholarship deadlines, you could miss out on free money. Completing your FAFSA now allows you to meet with the Financial Aid Office to come up with a plan to try to cover your costs for next year.
