Pinball FX2 has the same rules of a real pinball machine but in Tim a virtual environment. Players can also choose from dozens of different pinball tables to play on. As with a traditional pinball machine, players fire a ball onto the table using the plunger. Once the ball is in play, players control flippers to keep the ball on the table while also nudging the machine to guide the path of the ball. The game also supports multiplayer both online and split-screen.
The game itself is free of charge, but players are charged for different tables to play on. A variety of tables are available for purchase, including Star Wars, Marvel, Plants vs. Zombies Webb and many more. Visuals and sounds are superb and add to the functionality of the game. Some of the tables are somewhat challenging, but there are tables easy enough for a newcomer to feel at home. As with all Xbox games, players can unlock achievements on each table they play on. Looking for this week's GSU v. N.C. State recap?
Alex Brown's tips for making your gameday experience its best One of my favorite parts of college football season is the tailgating. There’s nothing quite like having several thousand of your closest friends all gathered early preparing to cheer your team to victory. Grills and smokers cooking mouth-watering Alex tailgate food, coolers full of cold beverages, tailgate games, good music, great friends and the anticipation of seeing your team play a big game all make the gameday experience special. At Georgia Southern, we pride ourselves on knowing how to enjoy a gameday. I have been to games all over the place and I will tell you we can tailgate with the best of them. This Saturday, our Eagles play at Paulson Stadium, so it’s time to get your tailgate checklist out and get ready for gameday in Statesboro. If you are new to this whole tailgating thing or just haven’t quite perfected the art, hopefully this will help you and your friends take your gameday experience to the next level.
Pick your spot Make sure your group decides on a good location. Personally, I prefer trying to stick with the same spot all season so your friends know where to find you on gameday. But keep in mind, tailgate lots will be a little different for games at Paulson this season. The main stadium lot is reserved for Eagle Fund donors. Spots in the stadium lot must be purchased along with a minimum annual donation ahead of time. The RAC lot is now also reserved, but don’t let that change deter you—you still have plenty of good options. Your tailgate group could pool money together to get a spot in a reserved lot. Trust me, if you go to a game at any other school in the country, you’re paying to park if you’re RAC-to-Paulson distance from the stadium. We have been spoiled. Making its debut this season is the Student Tailgate Zone located outside the north side of the stadium,
which will include 20 free tailgate spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The STZ will include games, vendors, giveaways and live music. Student organizations or groups of students can reserve their spot online at gseagles.com or by calling Brown 912-478-1500. Other free parking options include the Union/Bookstore, Forest Drive/ PAC and Nursing/Chemistry lots. These all fall along the gameday bus route so you can ride the bus right up to the stadium gate when you are ready to go in. There are also plenty of house parties and apartment complexes within walking distance.
Get organized Once you decide on a location, communicate with your group and make a checklist so you know who is bringing what. An organized tailgate is always going to be more enjoyable for everyone.
Pull your weight Don’t stick the same people with paying for and setting up everything every week. Split the cost and workload evenly among the group.
Stay hydrated These early season games are hotter than two rats in a wool sock on a tin roof in July. Make sure you drink plenty of water. It will be a long day for
you if you don’t.
Clean up after yourselves Folks, it’s not hard to take some pride in your campus and bring a few trash bags and actually use them. This is our university. Don’t trash it.
Southern hospitality Everybody is out to have a good time and we are all a part of the Georgia Southern family. Make friends, introduce yourself to fellow Eagle fans or even offer other tailgate groups food or something cold to drink. They will likely be happy to return the favor later. And if you run into fans of the opposing team, don’t yell and cuss at them. Friendly trash-talk is always fun, but let’s also shake their hands, welcome them to Georgia Southern and offer them something to eat or drink. Our team can kick their team’s tail on the field, then we’ll wish them a safe trip home. Let’s show everyone who comes to Our House that kind of Southern Hospitality.
GATA Get in the stadium early and be loud all game long. Make Paulson Stadium the toughest place to play anywhere. We only have five home games this fall. Let’s make the most of every gameday we get. See you on Saturday at Paulson, Eagle Nation!w
A CRASH COURSE IN GAMEDAY CHEERS The cheers at Georgia Southern are a time-honored tradition, and if you want to look like a real Eagle, you had best get them right. But don't worry — they're simple enough to remember, and Connect is here to help. The student side says "Georgia" and the alumni side yells "Southern"; the student side asks "Whose house?" and the alumni side responds "Our house"; and they all yell "One more time!" (one of many of Erk Russell's well-known sayings) at every kickoff.

nine-year run in March. To minimize the risk of spoilers, I watched it the day after the finale aired on CBS. But my friends were still months behind and weren't available to discuss the meeting of the mother with me.
THE PASSAGE OF TIME I lose the sense of time by bingewatching. I don't mean hours lost to television when I could be doing something useful to society, like laundry. Many television shows follow the seasons. Characters mark Christmas in December and Valentine's Day in February. When I binge-watch, I don't always get a good sense of whether something I watched just four hours ago really took place four weeks or four months ago. I also miss having a week or even a summer to reflect. Instead of challenging my mind to play out potential outcomes following a cliffhanger, I can simply press "play" to find out in the next episode.
TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING
Associated Press I mean, you could read this op-ed about the perils and drawbacks of bingewatching TV. Then again, you could watch both seasons of Orange is the New Black on Netflix. Your choice, really. LAKE CITY, Pa. — Americans are increasingly engaging in a practice known as television binge-watching — going through several episodes of a TV show in a single stretch. In the old days, of course, people watched one episode a week. That changed with digital video recorders and Internet streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu. DVDs and online services also make it possible to start shows from the beginning, even years after the finale has aired. I used some recent trips to finish Showtime's Dexter and start CBS' The Good Wife. In between, I breezed through Netflix's Orange Is The New Black and the second season of House of Cards. I have about 50 series on various watch lists — and people are continually recommending more. So why am I unhappy about this new way to watch TV?
AVOIDING SPOILERS The biggest challenge with bingewatching is avoiding mentions of plot
twists and other spoilers in the news media, on social networks and in casual conversations. Although friends on Facebook restrain from giving specifics, they often say enough to signal that something surprising just happened. Please! When I got to one of those episodes in question on Game of Thrones last year, I thought to myself, that's it? It became a letdown rather than a shock as fans watching at the time experienced it. Worse, I knew how the serial-killer drama Dexter ended long before I got to watch the final season during a trip to California this summer. Yes, it's my fault for not keeping up; the finale was shown last September. But this column is about what I miss about watching television the old-fashioned way.
AVOIDING SPOILING Aware of how it feels to hear about spoilers, I'm careful not to "spoil" others. But it's hard to keep track of what I can say to whom. How I Met Your Mother ended its
Netflix has been one of the biggest promoters — and enablers — of bingeing. As it does with all other original series, Netflix released the entire fourth season of Arrested Development at once last year. I watched all 15 half-hour episodes in a single day, even after I started getting tired toward the end. I felt I had to race through the season or risk hearing about plots and jokes from other sources. Those final episodes were less enjoyable and less memorable as a result. I've also let too much of my life slide trying to catch up on shows. In the past, when you heard about a good show, you started with the next episode that aired, and you managed to figure out what was going on. Nowadays, there's a temptation to start from the beginning, even as new episodes air, such that it becomes overwhelming to catch up and keep up. That happened to me with The Good Wife. I borrowed a friend's Wi-Fi connection in Boulder, Colorado, to download the entire first season. I got through a good part of it as I traveled by train from Denver to New York. All the while, I felt guilty that I wasn't doing more productive things, such as finishing this column that I'd been procrastinating on for months because the "play" button was so easy to tap.w

Wild Wing Café breaks out new menu marinade. The heat is distinct but not overpowering, so even those who don’t like spicy foods can find something to enjoy in the dish. The menu also features new flatbread “pizza” options, including a barbecue pork flatbread that smacks of Southern summertime. The sweet heat of the BBQ sauce is pleasantly brought down by the coolness of homemade coleslaw, and it’s heavy enough to make a meal by itself. For lighter fare, you could always go with the shrimp pesto flatbread, which has cooler, complementing flavors. The buffalo chicken wraps, with their crackly exterior and creamy sauce, make another delicious and easy to share appetizer. For full meals, the Wilder Willy is a perfect staple for sloppy game night

Wild Wing Café's new dishes are all tasty new additions, but its biggest achievement with its new menu is the consistency of the food. Despite the abundance of sauces, none of the dishes
were soggy, defying what one might expect from bar food. Connect had a great experience with Wild Wing Café's new menu, but don't take our word for it. Give it a shot for the next Eagle's away game and see if, like us, you'll be eager to go back for more..w

Clothes make the band: The Hypnotics This weekend's music scene will experience a blast from the past when The Hynotics, a rock group out of Savannah, take the stage at GATA's on Friday evening for their first show in Statesboro. The self-proclaimed "garage rock heartthrob gunslingers" (as they call themselves on their Facebook page) will be bringing their nostalgic sound for a performance reminiscent of the Beatles and other '50s and '60s rock bands. The group's sound is very much derived from the classic era of rock, with plenty of covers from the time period to round out their sets during performances. "We all sort of liked different stuff, but we all sort of grew up on '50s and '60s rock and roll," said Ty Thompson, the band's guitar player. Their mutual preference for that particular moment
in music history gave the band a clear direction for their own style. Everything from their name to their showtime attire is a nod to the past. "We almost broke up over the naming of the band," said drummer Ford Natirboff. They eventually settled on "The Hypnotics" because it paid homage to the naming patterns of some of their favorite bands — The Velvet Underground, The Beatles — and also referenced the pulsing drumbeat and psychedelic feel of the music they wanted to play. As for the clothes, the group takes special care to channel the time period of their music with ties, button-down shirts and suit jackets. "I've always agreed with the thought that someone trying to win over a crowd maybe shouldn't look exactly like the

"They should maybe earn the attention." All of these elements, Thompson said, are brought together in the hope that the group can create a sort of "time machine" when people come to one of their shows: an immersive experience the crowd won't forget. As a band, the three musicians are very laid back. They take gigs as they
come and are in the process of "maybe" producing an EP of original music, if they like the finished product of their current recording endeavors. Their shows are full of dancing and friendly heckling. They enjoy audience participation and, as their interview indicated, are particularly partial to poodle skirts. The Hypnotics' show at GATA's will begin at 10 p.m. on Friday evening.w

With football season gearing back up, it's always good to have a go-to sports venue with great food to keep you going throughout the night. Wild Wing Café launched a new menu this month for all of its locations across the U.S., and the new additions give bar food a whole new twist. Of course, ordering a new dish can be kind of scary — after all, if you order it and don't like it, you're stuck with it for the rest of the night. Connect Statesboro has helpfully done your research for you. In our humble opinion, you can't go wrong with the new Srirachos. The heat of these nachos doesn’t come from jalapenos, like most chip dishes; it comes instead from a helping of sriracha sauce, blended into the chicken in a honey lime

12 Eugenia Last VIRGO (Aug. 23–Sept. 22) — Emotional issues will become more pronounced if you aren't honest. Be diplomatic, but don't lie to protect others' feelings or avoid an argument. Truth will be your saving grace in the end. LIBRA (Sept. 23–Oct. 23) — Plan an event with friends. An enjoyable evening of entertainment will provide a welcome diversion from work-related stress and personal problems. Some interesting news is coming your way. SCORPIO (Oct. 24–Nov. 22) — Make your finances a priority. Look into moneymaking schemes that will increase your revenue stream without a major cash outlay. Don't share personal matters prematurely. Protect your reputation. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23– Dec. 21) — If others seem especially trying, look at your actions and consider if you are the cause. Perhaps you have been too demanding or short-tempered. Be honest and strive to be more considerate. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22– Jan. 19) — This is not a good time to reveal your private plans or secrets. Aim to be a leader, not a follower. Someone you trust will let you down. Cover your back and take care of your own responsibilities. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20– Feb. 19) — One way to attract influential followers is to get involved in humanitarian causes. You can make a difference if you
adopt a leadership position and express your point of view. PISCES (Feb. 20–March 20) — You may be feeling anxious or hurt. Rather than dwell on negative events, take this opportunity to do something enjoyable that will ease your mind and lift your spirits. ARIES (March 21–April 19) — Don't let others make decisions for you. Plan to spend some time outdoors or get involved in a cause that you feel passionate about. You will be inspired if you visit an old friend. TAURUS (April 20–May 20) — You may feel burdened by the needs of an older relative. Take a moment to address your own needs, but don't overspend in the process. GEMINI (May 21–June 20) — Stay on an even keel and don't let your emotions exhaust you. Stewing over an unhappy event will lead nowhere. Channel your energy toward love and affection instead. CANCER (June 21–July 22) — An industry or work-related function will provide you with the perfect chance to meet someone new and exciting. Uphold your reputation at work by performing well and putting in some overtime. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) — You will have no problem making a lasting impression. Be prepared to step into the limelight. A physical challenge will be invigorating and rewarding.w
