DJ Stringer draws car winner!
By Jo KennettIT’S NOT every day you get to give a car away, but the DJ Stringer team did just that on Tuesday, February 28, to one lucky local family.
It was a proud moment for top gun principal David Stringer who announced the lucky winner of a new MG hatchback at his Coolangatta showroom.



The winner was Darren Luxmoore, along with his wife Leisa Luxmoore and their daughter Tayla, who were overjoyed with the win from a draw.
“We ran it over the Christmas
period with everyone that listed their property for sale over a couple of months going into the draw,” Mr Stringer said.
“The car is a brand new black 2022 MG 3 which was purchased from our good friends at Victory Ford in Tweed.
“We’ve had a lot of interest because you don’t see a car in someone’s office every day. It’s a very sporty four-door hatch with black upholstery.
“We limited it to 50 entries and all entrants must be here to claim the prize.”
David said the market at the moment is really strong.
“We are getting some really good attendance at open homes, especially on the southern end of the Gold Coast with very strong demand for beach side properties,” he said.
“There isn’t that much stock at the moment.
“We are finding a lot of people coming up for holidays which is unusual for this time of year, with teenage kids etc.
“Even though school has gone back there are lots of people. It’s incredible.
“Tweed has softened a little and there are more inquiries for places like Banora as there is a bit more
supply so the days on market are a bit longer.
“The open house numbers are down in some parts so it will be interesting to see if prices come down just based on supply.
“Banora and Tweed attract a lot of first home owners so they might be getting nervous with the interest rate rises so that might affect things there.
