The Tweed Shire secret is out

NORTHERN RIVERS Property Group sales specialist Paul Stobbie says now is the time to invest in the Tweed Shire for both buyers and sellers as the “secret is out” regarding this amazing place we call home. Mr Stobbie said the Tweed Shire offers some of the world’s best attractions and a lifestyle people are craving more than ever. “The best beaches in the world, National parks in every direction and a casual and increasingly sophisticated arts and foodie lifestyle are currently being heavily sought after by city dwellers, looking for that seminal tree/sea change. 2021 is going to be transformational for many people,” he said. “The Northern Rivers Property market is currently in a boom cycle with vendors achieving great prices. “We at Northern Rivers Property Group (Paul and Adrianna) can’t really see that slowing given the key factors of historically low interest rates which show no sign of increase on latest financial analysis at least over the next 12 to 24 months. “The lack of properties on the market with multiple buyers for each new property listed and the push from the major cities into the regional areas like Murwillumbah given the pandemic has taught us to work from home more than ever. “It is most definitely a sellers’ market and will remain so until the conditions mentioned above shift which doesn’t look likely anytime soon.”

In answer to when will listings pick up, Mr Stobbie said he would urge anyone even contemplating selling to get an appraisal. “They may well be surprised at what they can achieve in this very hot local market,” he said. “Any buyers considering the Tweed Shire should make their move now. These conditions are only going to see prices continue to rise. “More importantly if you are considering buying now get all of your ducks in a row….be ready because properties are moving fast with multiple buyers. “Put yourself in the best possible position with pre-approved finance and the ability to pivot on settlement terms. What are you waiting for? Last chance for Casuarina beachfront By Jo Kennett
EARTHWORKS ON the final stage of the $400-million Casuarina Town Centre are complete, according to the developers, with new public parkland alongside the home and development sites that will pave the way for the next phase of construction. When completed the development on the beach side of Coles Casuarina supermarket will have around 437 dwellings which will house between 1,000 and 1,500 residents. According to a spokesperson for the developers, Clarence Property, hoarding around the site will be taken down in the coming weeks, providing access to Grand Parade for the first time since civil construction commenced 18 months ago. The first homes are expected to start taking shape within months, with Clarence Property expecting titles for all beachside lots in the near future. Clarence Property managing director Peter Fahey said he expects the remaining beachfront lots to go under the hammer in February. “We’re absolutely thrilled to be taking the wraps off the final piece of the puzzle at Casuarina Beach,” he said. “This has been 20 years in the making, and is the exclamation point in the story of how the community has evolved into what it is today. “The new beachfront park and playground will be followed by a retail and recreation precinct along Grand Parade which will ultimately feature an array of specialty stores, commercial and medical operators to complement the existing Casuarina Village Shopping Centre.
