Penny Wright, Guardian, Keynote “State of the Sector : Kids in Care” Penny will cover both secure care and out of home care models in an extended 45 minute presentation especially also looking at overrepresentation of aboriginals in youth secure care.

Launch of the Inner North Youth Homelessness Workers video resource Each attendee will receive a USB copy of this local training video. Designed for frontline workers working with youth (who may not be specialist youth homelessness practitioners) - the resource is designed to help workers best navigate and support a young person through finding a housing solution. The resource has been developed by the youth homelessness subcommittee of the Inner Northern Homelessness and Domestic Violence Collaboration.

OPEN FORUM : Issues of concern – feedback of issues workers are currently experiencing locally in youth services. Your chance to flag or share issues of concern.

Sharing Soap Box session Your 1 minute (literally!) chance to introduce a new staff member, plug a new program, call for partners in a project idea or share a resource you have found. Bring business cards and flyers to share.

Launch of the City of Salisbury Youth Action Plan : 2017 - 2021 The City of Salisbury Youth Action Plan 2017 – 2021 is the culmination of 12 months of active youth lead research and consultation. Over 1500 young people were involved in the development of the strategy for City of Salisbury. Salisbury Youth Council members will speak briefly of this unique model adopted and their efforts to include all youth voices. Mayor Gillian Aldridge will officially launch the Plan. Limited hardcopies of the document will be available however each participant attending the networking session will receive one.
