Managing Technology Innovation Technology innovation management is the intersection between strategy, technology and operations. Developing innovative technology and defining the strategy to get to market is at the core of a successful project. Accessing public funding can be a key part of a company’s innovation strategy to leverage technological developments. TWI has an experienced team of specialist personnel focused on securing public funded projects in the area of engineering research and innovation. Its Technology Innovation Management team works closely with TWI’s technical experts, its Industrial Members, external partners, our Innovation Centres and wider TWI Innovation Network and external partners to develop concepts, build reputable consortiums and quality proposals to secure funding to take forward the next generation of advanced engineering technologies. To create the optimum project consortium, the team liaises extensively with a broad range of potential partners including SMEs, larger companies and multi-nationals, universities and research organisations. TWI engages with a number of national and international funding agencies including Horizon 2020, Innovate UK, EUREKA, Clean Sky, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
