Environmental Stewardship

TESLA SOLAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Our exciting alliance with Tesla continues this year as we work to generate renewable solar energy to power the entire community of Twin Dolphin as well as set a new standard of environmental care in Baja. Ohana has made a significant investment to implement a multi-phased initiative that will leverage Tesla energy technology to produce renewable solar energy for the community. The project consists of a six-system portfolio installed throughout the property, including installations at several Maravilla amenities, as well as a central ground-mount site that will eventually be installed adjacent to Twin Dolphin’s desalination plant.

AUDUBON INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, Twin Dolphin Club is participating in the Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary Program (ACSP). The ACSP is an award-winning education and certification program that helps golf courses and communities protect the environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf. This program will enhance the valuable natural areas and wildlife habitat of Twin Dolphin by improving efficiency, minimizing potentially harmful impacts of golf operations, and serves as a vital resource for the course. As part of the certification process, we have been monitoring, tracking and cataloging all flora and fauna on the property for several years. If you are interested in learning more, please ask!

Teams of two will compete in the best-ball format at each venue, and the team with the lowest 36-hole score will be crowned this year’s Baja Bowl Champions. Members are welcome to partner together or invite a guest. FORMAT: TWO-PERSON BEST BALL

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP May 28 Test your skills against the best players in the Club and compete in the first annual Twin Dolphin Club Championship. To qualify for a spot in this event, players will be able to use their top 3 best gross scores from Saturday Sweeps over the course of the season. The 12 players with the best gross scoring average from those 3 scorecards will earn their spot amongst the elite and be able to compete in this year’s Championship. Players will battle head-to-head in this one-day winner-take-all tournament, where no strokes are given and only your game matters. PLAYABILITY The golf course features design elements that make it playable for golfers of all levels, such as incorporating fairway width and landing zones, limiting forced carries from the forward tees, and offering multiple sets of tees.

COURSE CONDITIONING A state-of-the-art maintenance facility coupled with golf maintenance industry experts ensures the course remains at the highest quality, both now and into the future. Special attention to detail is paid to mowing patterns for an improved aesthetic with mostly fairway height of cut for increased playability.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSCIOUSNESS The golf course was developed with the utmost respect for the land. Rather than mass-grading and re-planting of landscaped areas after the course was built, the golf course was graded from the center lines out to the perimeter of each golf hole, leaving the surrounding native landscaping intact.
