Ball4Fun hits it out of the Park!

The Josephburg ball program has grown to be one of the most popular programs offered in the hamlet.

JAS Ball Director, Billie Borys has been working to further the program for the past 12 years and the results are impressive. It was a steady increase from around 20 players to 90-plus that brought forward needs for improved equipment and help.

With the help of grants the program has been able to efficiently handle the increase in enrolment.

The 2025 season starts April 30 and runs till June 25. Monday and Wednesday nights are busy in the ‘Burg with youth learning the sport in a non-competitive environment.

If you are registering your kids for Ball4Fun...

PLEASE consider volunteering as we NEED Coaches, PLUS parents at Skills Stations, and to help with our Field Safety and First Aid Program

It’s great fun and helps teach kids that volunteering is important and helps the community.

The three diamonds in the hamlet are used for the parent-lead practices. Games are played against the other Josephburg teams with no travel involved. Coaches come from the parent and grandparent group of the kids registered.

Dates cancelled due to bad weather are made up at the end of the season and a Dairy Queen Dilly Bar Party always wraps up the year.

This is an affordable way to help teach the young ones the fun of ball. Registration online begins February 15, 2025.

April 30 will include a community BBQ and vendors onsite with unique wares.

JAS Classic ‘25 - Farewell to Moyer

The cattle show circuit is alive and well with a record number of head attending the 2024 JAS Classic.

The rink in Josephburg has been home to the show since its inception in the late 90s. This year, the show goes Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Over the years it has grown rapidly and the need for further space has put everyone to the test. With the help of Strathcona County, the committee has managed the influx at Moyer Rec Centre in Josephburg.
