STAFFING UPDATE Welcome—Ms Narelle Collins who will be teaching in Pre-primary Room 21 on Thursdays this term. Retirement—Ms Christine Jarvis has been a teacher at our school for many years and she would form part of the fond memories many students have of their years in Kindergarten and Pre-primary. While Chris was enjoying her leave in Term 1 she decided to retire to pursue her other interests in the education field and to spend more time with her family. We will be respecting her wishes by not holding a public farewell event. As Chris will not be returning to the school you are invited to express your appreciation or to wish her a happy retirement by leaving a card at reception. SCHOOL MAINTENANCE During the school holidays the ceilings in Rooms 1, 2, 12, 13, 14 and 19 were strengthened with battens and those in Room 15, 18 and a store-room were replaced. The benches in the front courtyard were also repaired with many of the boards replaced. Unfortunately, due to people climbing on the roof, we had leaks in two classes due to broken tiles. These have been replaced. TERM PLANNER The Term 2 Planner has been included in this newsletter.
