STORYLINES TO WATCH • Texas State led the Sun Belt Conference in scoring defense last year at 66.0 points per game, its third lowest since 1983-84. The Bobcats are even better this year allowing just 59.9. • Head coach Danny Kaspar is 21st among active NCAA coaches with 484 overall wins in his 24-year career. • Texas State returns five players from last year’s team, including 2014-15 Sun Belt Conference Preseason AllSun Belt Second-Team Selection Emani Gant. • Texas State brings in nine newcomers to this year’s team, with three freshmen, five junior college transfers and one four-year transfer. • Did you know: Texas State snapped Georgia State’s 18-home game win streak in January.
