STORYLINES TO WATCH • Texas State can clinch a berth in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with a win on Thursday. • Texas State led the Sun Belt Conference in scoring defense last year at 66.0 points per game, its third lowest since 1983-84. The Bobcats are even better this year allowing just 59.9 • Head coach Danny Kaspar is 21st among active NCAA coaches with 486 overall wins in his 24-year career. • Texas State brings in nine newcomers to this year’s team, with three freshmen, five junior college transfers and one four-year transfer. • Did you know: Thursday marks the first time in prorgram history the Bobcats have traveled to Boone, N.C. The two previous meetings between the Bobcats and Mountaineers came in San Marcos earlier this season and in Cancun in 2010.
