STORYLINES TO WATCH • Texas State has clinched a berth in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, and can move up to as high as No. 6 in the tournament depending on outcomes from around the league Saturday. • Texas State led the Sun Belt Conference in scoring defense last year at 66.0 points per game, its third lowest since 1983-84. The Bobcats are even better this year allowing just 59.9, its lowest since 1982-83. • Head coach Danny Kaspar is 21st among active NCAA coaches with 486 overall wins in his 24-year career. • Texas State brings in nine newcomers to this year’s team, with three freshmen, five junior college transfers and one four-year transfer. • Did you know: Last season at Fant-Ewing, the Bobcats allowed just 36 points to ULM, the lowest at the time in program history since 1985.
