A LOOK AT THE COMPETITION • Texas A&M-International is a member of Division II and the Heartland Conference. • TAMIU comes to San Marcos after playing an exhibition game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last Sunday. • The Dustdevils lost by a score of 74-60 in Corpus Christi, Texas. • Keiona Mathews led the offensive efforts of the Dustdevils with 23 points and six rebounds. • Jessica Prieto and Jessica Woo each added double-digit points with 11 and 10, respectively.

Conference Championship. • Preito is the top scoring returner from the 2013-14 squad where she averaged 9.1 points per game. THE LAST TIME OUT • The Bobcats and the Dustdevils have only competed in one other time in the history of the Texas State basketball program. This was in 2007 when the Bobcats won by a score of 77-52. ABOUT THE BOBCATS • The Texas State Bobcats enter the 2014-15 season with nine returners and four newcomers.

• TAMUCC bested TAMIU in almost every category including outrebounding the Dustdevils 57-35.

• Last season, the Bobcats earned an invitation to the WBI Tournament which marked the first postseason appearance for Texas State since the 2008 season.

• TAMIU did, however, shoot 73.4 percent from the line compared to 68.0 percent by the Islanders.

• Last year’s Bobcats finished with a 16-16 overall record and 12-6 conference mark.

• Last season, the Dustdevils finished the year with a 19-9 overall record including a 15-5 overall mark.

• Texas State’s conference record was good enough to put them in a tie for third place overall in the Sun Belt Conference after originally being picked ninth by the league coaches.

• The Dustdevils won the regular season Heartland
