A LOOK AT THE COMPETITION • The Troy Trojans also enter the 2014-15 Sun Belt Conference schedule with a 5-4 record, earning victories over Southeastern Louisiana, Florida A&M, Samford, Alabama State, and most recently, Tennessee State. • In the preseason, the Trojans were picked to finish fifth in the SBC. Last season, the Bobcats defeated Troy in both meetings. In the second meeting of the year, now-junior guard Ayriel Anderson rattled off a career-high 31 points in the 95-92 victory at Troy. • After losing Joanna Harden, the leading scorer from the 2013-14 Troy squad, the Trojans are led by Ronita Garrett who is posting 15.3 points per game. • In addition to leading the team in points, she is leading the squad with 10.6 rebounds per contest. Ashley Beverly-Kelley is also an offensive threat for the Trojans, posting 13.2 PPG. • The Trojans are under the direction of Chanda Rigby who is currently in her third season at the helm. ABOUT THE BOBCATS • The Texas State Bobcats enter the 2014-15 season with eight returners and four newcomers.

• Last season, the Bobcats earned an invitation to the WBI Tournament which marked the first postseason appearance for Texas State since the 2008 season. • Last year’s Bobcats finished with a 16-16 overall record and 12-6 conference mark. • Texas State’s conference record was good enough to put them in a tie for third place overall in the Sun Belt Conference after originally being picked ninth by the league coaches. • This preseason, juniors Erin Peoples and Ayriel Anderson were both chosen to All-SBC Preseason Teams. • Peoples, a 6-0 guard from Little Rock, Ark., was named to the First-Team while Anderson, a 5-3 guard from Irving, Texas, was named to the Third-Team. • Texas State was picked to finish third in the Sun Belt Conference by the league coaches. • Head coach Zenarae Antoine enters her fourth season at the helm of the Texas State program.
