A LOOK AT THE COMPETITION • The UTSA Roadrunners enter Thursday’s contest with a 4-2 overall record with victories over Abilene Christian, Lamar, Incarnate Word, and most recently Sun Belt foe UT Arlington. • Kamra King leads the Roadrunners in scoring with 13.3 points per game. She is also second on the team in steals with 13. • Akunna Elonu is the leading rebounder for UTSA, snagging 7.8 boards per game. • The Roadrunners are scoring an average of 61.3 points per game while allowing just 53.3 points for their opponents. • Lubomyr Lichonczak is the head coach of the Roadrunners and is currently in his second season at the helm. In his first season as head coach, Lichonczak led the team to a 14-17 overall record and 4-12 mark in UTSA’s inaugural season in C-USA. • This season, the Roadrunners were picked to finish ninth in C-USA. THE LAST TIME OUT • After getting off to a slow start against I-35 rival UTSA, the Bobcats ultimately fell by a score of 86-83 on December 22, 2013.

• Freshman Kaitlin Walla had a career afternoon for the Bobcats, scoring a career-high 17 points, going 5-for-11 from the floor and 5-for-6 from the free throw line. • Texas State outrebounded the Roadrunners 41-40 and for the first time last season, the Bobcats shot over 40 percent from the floor with a mark of 44.6 percent (29-for-65). ABOUT THE BOBCATS • The Texas State Bobcats enter the 2014-15 season with nine returners and four newcomers. • Last season, the Bobcats earned an invitation to the WBI Tournament which marked the first postseason appearance for Texas State since the 2008 season. • Last year’s Bobcats finished with a 16-16 overall record and 12-6 conference mark. • Texas State’s conference record was good enough to put them in a tie for third place overall in the Sun Belt Conference after originally being picked ninth by the league coaches. • This preseason, juniors Erin Peoples and Ayriel Anderson were both chosen to All-SBC Preseason Teams.
