Katherine Tesno has been the primary goalkeeper for UTSA as she has put in over 371 minutes. She has allowed five goals and has recorded 15 saves. LAST TIME OUT - TCU TCU has defeated the Bobcats in the last two matches played. The last match was in Fort Worth when the Horned Frogs defeated the Bobcats, 3-0, on September 9, 2012.
Tori Hale is two assists away from having the most assists in program history in her career. In five games to start the season, senior Tori Hale and freshman Kassi Hormuth have already scored three goals. Two of the six goal scorers this season are freshman. Rachel Grout earned her first goal against Northwestern State last Sunday. Kassi Hormuth, a freshman from Cedar Park, Texas, owns a .889 shots on goal percentage in nine shots Kat Conner is seeking her 161th career victory against TCU on Friday. She has been the sole coach for the Texas State soccer program. 2013 REVIEW With a debut in its third conference in as many seasons, the Texas State soccer team found its way to the semifinal match of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and an 8-9-2 overall record. The 2013 Bobcats set a program record for most overtime contests in a single season with six, of which only one resulted in a victory.
Texas State has defeated TCU one time on its home turf, winning 4-2 on October 17, 2001.
Texas State finished the 2013 non-conference schedule with a 3-5-1 record, picking up home victories against Prairie View A&M and Sam Houston State while defeating Northwestern State on the road in the season opener.
LAST TIME OUT - UTSA The last time that the Bobcats competed against the Roadrunners, was in 2012 when Texas State won, 1-0, in double-overtime.
The Bobcats started the conference schedule on the right foot, posting a 2-0-1 record through the first three contests, including the team’s first ever Sun Belt Conference victory on the road against Troy.
The last home victory for Texas State was in 2011 when it defeated UTSA by a score of 3-1.
After the timely victory against Troy in the quarterfinal game, the Bobcats were matched up against a Western Kentucky squad who previously defeated them in the final moments of a double-overtime contest earlier in the season. With 88 minutes of scoreless action, the Lady Toppers capitalized in the 89th minute to defeat Texas State, 1-0.
