I am completing an architectural thesis as part of my Master of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati. My studies allow me to evolve my design technique and produce sustainable and responsible work. In program and form, architecture must agree with its occupants, environment, and time. See my portfolio for evidence of this tactic. In practice, I strive to design, draw, model, and consider these factors daily. Along the way to achieving my architectural license, I will implement the skill set learned through professional practice and education to work efficiently and effectively at any opportunity.

TECH
INNOVATION
1
A thesis studying technological integration in the Architecture of the home.
Home
TIME
Housing has become unsuitable and the Architecture of the home is devolving. That statement especially rings true when considering the expansive developments of the technological world and their impact on people’s daily lives. In the United States, we have seen the continual production of stick-framed rectilinear apartments and homes for hundreds of years. Most of the technological innovation being incorporated into homes and living spaces has to fit within the 16” between studs. They are a “plug-in” product designed to enhance the user’s life, taking on a passive role within the architecture of the home. What if technology became the architecture of living instead of being placed within the home?

INFINITE AND EARTHLY 11
Christian Chapel, Isle of Portland, UK Infinite or Earthy. Visitors to the design have the opportunity to ascend to the sacred space into a chapel purified by smooth granite, directional hardwood, and white panel. As the chapel extends to the ocean, it reaches to infinity and to God. It sits above the other processional option. That is the journey below the building into the Earthly Spaces.
Sacred sits atop the Earthly. Pure white metal panel surmount a rugged stone and concrete base. Visitors can engage in architectural experiences of either or both sections of the building.

COMMUNITY GARDEN MASTERPLAN 13
Design-Build of Pavilions and Outdoor Kitchen Muncie, IN
The Community Garden masterplan was a design-build project carried out by multiple semesters of senior architectural studios at Ball State. It serves South Muncie as a revitalization mechanism. As a studio, we acted as the design firm, communicated directly with the community and clients, and carried out all design processes.

Services
Midway draws connections between the highly trafficked, IUPUI campus and serve as a cultural passage into the contemporary art held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Form is sculpted from the desired intersection of connecting public pathways through the building. Beginning with a simple shape (diamond), twists, subtractions, additions, and undulations craft the design into a sculptural delight of a building. MidWay will house Indianapolis’ art collection and allow ambitious artists and curios citizens a place for inspiration.

CABIN SUBLIME
Northern Lights Viewing Cabins Northern Iceland
18
The design exhibits different forms of intimacy on a range of scales. At a macro scale this is achieved by giving each group of guests their own separate structure for their own intimate moment with Iceland’s landscape and the northern lights.
At a micro scale, two forms of intimate moments are found in the architecture. As far as materiality and form, worn wood, concrete, and heavy timber combine to achieve a building that mimics the rolling landscape.

PERMINANCE ON THE OHIO 21
Perminance begins with the flood plain. All impermiable programs exist behind it. Community spaces are placed along the band of development to allow for public engagement with the site. Towers lure visitors from around the city and a proposed light rail stop creates further connections.
