PART I: THE INSTITUTIONAL LOGOS
SECTION 1:
STANDARDS FOR THE INSTITUTIONAL LOGOS
BRAND & IDENTITY STANDARDS MANUAL | VERSION 1.4 |
STANDARDS FOR THE INSTITUTIONAL LOGOS
Primary Logo
THE TJC LOGO IS THE PRIMARY VISUAL IDENTITY MARK OF THE INSTITUTION AND IS TO BE USED ON ALL STATIONERY, MERCHANDISE, PRINTED PUBLICATIONS AND DIGITAL APPLICATIONS INTENDED FOR ON- OR OFF-CAMPUS USE. The logo always contains both the wordmark and the icon; but in certain approved applications, the icon may be used independently from the wordmark. Acceptable colors for printing are “TJC Black” – PMS Black and “TJC Gold” - PMS 116, CMYK conversion, RGB conversion, black and white in a reversed application. Screening the logo (in any color) is unacceptable. The logo cannot appear in any colors except black, gold or white (see page 11). This logo is to be used in a stand-alone state only. The Wordmark must be used if “TJC” is used in a design.

Screening the logo (in any color) is unacceptable. The logo cannot appear in any colors except black, gold or white. This logo is to be used in a stand-alone state only.
Apache Head Logo
The TJC Apache Head logo is available for use by all employees and groups of TJC. Acceptable colors for printing are “TJC Black” – PMS Black and “TJC Gold” - PMS 116, CMYK conversion, RGB conversion, black and white in a reversed application. Logo Sizing and Safe Zones 1.5”
Logo Sizing
1.5”
The recommended minimum reproduction size of the TJC logo is 1.5’’ in width. Reducing the logos further would compromise legibility and the integrity of the logo reproduction.
Safe Zones Each of the TJC logos has an established safe zone. This safe zone is intended to maintain the logo’s integrity and to avoid visual confusion. No other type or graphic element (including folds, trims or edges) should fall within the safe zone shown. Only the TJC Wordmark or Apache Head logo may be incorporated into a design, and placement must respect the safe zones defined. The safe zone on all sides of the TJC Wordmark is equal to the “height of the leg in the letter T.” The safe zone on all sides of the Apache head logo is equal to the “bottom of the headband to the highest point of the feathers.”

Obtaining the Logos TJC licenses the use of its logos through CLC Learfield | IMG College. Only licensed vendors are allowed to reproduce the TJC logos. Low-resolution logos are available for download to employees at tjc.edu/marketing/downloads.
Reproducing the Logos The TJC logo is comprised of customized graphics and type. The College requires that high-resolution digital files or camera-ready art be used for all forms of reproduction. Any attempt to recreate the art, type or spacing and styling of the logo could result in inconsistencies in reproduction, which would compromise the integrity of the logo.

Logo Colors
The official colors of the TJC logo are “TJC Black” (Pantone Matching System [PMS] Process Black) and “TJC Gold” (Pantone Matching System [PMS] 116).

STANDARDS FOR THE INSTITUTIONAL LOGOS
Color Reproduction Adhering to the following color reproduction guidelines will create a consistent image and maintain the visual impact of the logo. When printing over a white or light background, the logo should be reproduced in full color. On a solid dark background, the wordmark should be knocked out in gold and the icon should be in full color. When appearing on a white or gold background, the logo must be printed in black or full color. When appearing on a black background, the logo appears reversed out in white, PMS 116 (TJC Gold) or two color. Otherwise, the two-color logo must be used. Overprints should be on recognizable TJC colors and not on competitor schools’ colors.

Obtaining the Athletic Logos
To obtain a copy of the official athletic logos, contact Creative Services.
Athletic Logo Sizing The recommended minimum reproduction size of the athletic logo is 1” to 1.5’’ (see below). Reducing the logos further would compromise legibility and the integrity of the logo reproduction.
Reproducing the Athletic Logos
The TJC athletic logos are comprised of customized graphics and type. The College requires that digital files or camera-ready art be used for all forms of reproduction. Any attempt to recreate the art, type, or spacing and styling of the logo could result in inconsistencies in reproduction, which would compromise the integrity of the logo.

To determine the minimum distance between the Primary Marks and all other graphic elements: • Draw parallel lines across both the top and the bottom of the Primary Marks, as shown below in dashed lines. • The safe zone on all sides of the athletic logo is equal to the height of the “APACHES banner.”
