Astrophysicist, former Space Science Education Lead for NASA
Dr. Hakeem Oluseyi has three degrees, eight U.S. patents, and four E.U. patents and has hosted Science Channel and Discovery shows. More impressive, still, is his life story: Oluseyi grew up in the roughest neighborhoods of America, learned to survive on the street, and still taught himself Einstein’s theory of relativity from an old set of encyclopedias. He was presented with a compelling option to quit at every turn, yet he persevered. Today, he is a NASA astrophysicist and a global educator.
Dr. Oluseyi is scheduled to speak with TJC students about overcoming adversity and pursuing dreams. In a public presentation, Dr. Oluseyi will share his story and address a new focus on space travel and its possible implications.
