We are bringing compassionate care closer to home. St. Anthony Summit Medical Center is deeply committed to helping residents of our beautiful mountain community live long, healthy lives. We are also dedicated to keeping pace with the growing needs of both residents and visitors to our mountain towns. Every year, more than one million visitors come to Summit County to ski or enjoy the area’s exciting range of recreational activities. And our mountain communities are also home to more than 200,000 residents. Summit Medical Center recognizes that illness or injury often forces these residents and visitors to travel over mountain passes and out of the county to receive state-of-the-art health care.

In particular, travel for on-going treatments for cancer patients was an area of care that was especially affected by our location. “Currently, most of the hundreds of patients diagnosed with cancer each year in Summit and neighboring counties must access infusion care by traveling to Vail or Denver, a route that is treacherous in the winter and continued
