Welome From Pastor Nik
Welcome from Auction Chair
WELCOME TO OUR 2015 AUCTION FOR MISSIONS! I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE AND AM GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HEART TO SPREAD CHRIST'S LOVE AROUND THE WORLD.
THANK YOU FOR JOINING US TONIGHT FOR OUR MISSION AUCTION. IF YOU ATTENDED LAST YEARS EVENT YOU MIGHT REMEMBER EILENE ZACKRY AND BECKI HOYT HAVING A BIDDING WAR OVER THE DONATED EXTERIOR HOUSE PAINTING, OR ALL THE DELICIOUS DESSERTS THAT WERE OFFERED THAT NIGHT. WE RAISED IN EXCESS OF THE $15,000 NEEDED FOR THE COST OF BUILDING MATERIAL FOR OUR SCHOOL BUILD. GOD BLESSED US MIGHTILY THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF YOU.
OUR PROJECT THIS YEAR IS A CONTINUATION OF LAST YEAR'S--EXPANDING A SCHOOL IN PANAMA. TONIGHT THE GOAL IS TO RAISE $15,000 TO PROVIDE THE SUPPLIES FOR CONSTRUCTION--BRICKS, MORTAR, TOOLS, CONCRETE, ETC. IF WE ARE AS EFFECTIVE AS WE WERE IN 2014 WE WILL PROVIDE ENOUGH ROOM FOR ANOTHER 140+ CHILDREN TO LEARN READING, WRITING, AND ARITHMETIC IN A CHRIST-CENTERED ENVIRONMENT. FINALLY, YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS: I BELIEVE EVERYBODY SHOULD EXPERIENCE A SHORT-TERM MISSIONS TRIP. THE EXPOSURE TO FOREIGN CULTURES, GETTING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE, AND WORKING ALONGSIDE OTHERS FROM THE GROVE CHURCH IS LIFE-CHANGING. SO BE AWARE OF OUR 2016 TRIP TO PANAMA THAT WILL LIKELY INCLUDE NOT JUST CONSTRUCTION BUT KIDS VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLS FOR GROVE STUDENTS AND A MEDICAL MISSIONS TEAM HELPING THROUGHOUT THE NEIGHBORHOODS IN AND AROUND PANAMA CITY. YOU'LL SEE MORE INFORMATION ON THE 2016 TRIPS AS WE GET THROUGH THE SUMMER SEASON. IF YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU WOULD LIKE INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2016 TRIP SEND AN EMAIL TO PAM COUZIN (PCOUZIN@GROVECH.ORG) AND WE WILL EMAIL YOU WHEN WE HAVE THE DETAILS SOLIDIFIED. ENJOY THE EVENING AND THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF THE BIGGER PICTURE IN MISSIONS! PASTOR NIK
IT IS MY PRAYER THAT TONIGHT YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME. YOUR SUPPORT OF MISSIONS HERE AT THE GROVE CHURCH IMPACTS OUR ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THOSE FAR LESS FORTUNATE THAN OURSELVES. SOME ARE CALLED TO GO, SOME ARE CALLED TO SEND THEM, BUT WE ARE ALL CALLED TO BE A PART OF MISSIONS. I AM EXCITED TO SEE HOW GOD WILL BLESS US THIS YEAR! PAM COUZIN AUCTION CHAIR
