Abstract:
The subject of this research is the exploration of wine tourism. The research has as a starting point the analysis and approach of tourism, defining the phenomenon and dividing it into its components: experience, gaze and destination. Consequently, the general framework of tourism is limited, and we are led to the definition of specific forms and their historic elements, followed by six examples of other alternative forms of tourism, with a dominant motivation to get acquainted with nature. With the latter, until now, exploration ends in wine tourism. At first level, we mention the history of wine and then we analyze and define the concept of wine tourism. As in the case of tourism, in wine tourism also, the product and its ingredients are being distinguished, dividing wine tourism into its experience, the tourist’s gaze and their profile, and finally the destination. Then, the phenomenon is analyzed in front and back stage.
