Originally from Rogers, Arkansas, Rebecca is a graduate of UAFS with a Bachelor of Business in administrationmarketing. She was a member of the UAFS Pom Squad for four years, a member of Delta Gamma, a resident assistant for UAFS Housing, and was crowned Miss UAFS in 2010. Rebecca now owns Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio in Fort Smith where she has taught dance since 2007. She lives in Fort Smith with her husband Garin, a high school math and computer science instructor, and their fur babies. They are expecting their first child in April 2021.

Toni Lindsey

Toni Lindsey serves as the director of governmental affairs for the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Industries of Arkansas. She is also the program director for Leadership Arkansas. She has been involved in the Miss America System for more than 20 years as both a contestant and volunteer. Toni has judged seven state competitions and currently serves as the executive director for the University of Arkansas and Dogwood franchises. She serves as the president of the Chi Omega Advisory Board and the president-elect for the State Board of Arkansas Children’s Circle of Friends. She previously worked for the Arkansas Razorbacks for 17 years. She and her husband Michael reside in Bentonville with their 15-month-old son Thomas Gray, her bonus daughters Bailey and Amelia, and their hound Bernie.

Kara Long

Kara Long

Kara Long was born and raised in Conway, but has been a resident of Fayetteville for the past 24 years. She earned a bachelor’s in journalism and a master’s in journalism and political science from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. After working in healthcare marketing and public relations, she and her husband John moved to Fayetteville to establish a business in the housing industry. Kara has been involved in the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Fayetteville Public Schools and currently serves for Pi Beta Phi at UA. Kara was active in the Miss America system in college and was reintroduced to the pageant system through her daughter's participation. She considers herself a pageant junkie for life and has witnessed firsthand the positive benefit pageantry has had in the lives of so many young women. Her family includes two sons and a daughter, two dogs, and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world, watching golf, and biking the trails of Northwest Arkansas.

Ed McClure

Ed McClure

Ed McClure graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, in 1982. He worked for a year in the Iowa House of Representatives then attended the University of Arkansas School of Law, graduating in 1986. While in law school, he began work as a law clerk by Matthews, Campbell, and Rhoads—and he has been there since, as an associate attorney and now partner—now known as Matthews, Campbell, Rhoads, McClure & Thompson, PA. He currently serves as vice chair of First United Methodist Church and has previously served as Rogers interim municipal judge and with the Rogers Historic District Commission, Main Street Rogers, Arkansas Bar Association Board of Governors and House of Delegates, Benton County Bar Association, Rogers Kiwanis Club, Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation, Inc., Arkansas Public Theatre, Ballet Arkansas, Arts Live! Theatre, and Ozark StageWorks. He and his wife Kathy have one son, Zachary McClure Denison, who is a dancer residing in New York City.

Kristen Glover Belew earned the title of Miss Arkansas 2011 after graduating magna cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in chemistry. With scholarship money from the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation, she enrolled at the UAMS College of Pharmacy and graduated with honors in 2016. She now works as a clinical pharmacist in Baptist Health Family Clinics. Kristen lives in Little Rock with her husband Barrett and spunky 2-year-old son JT. They will be welcoming their second little boy in May.

Katie Burgess

Katie Burgess graduated from UAFS in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in media communications. She was Miss UAFS in 2016 and was awarded the Alpha Interview and Alpha Arrival awards at Miss Arkansas later that summer. She currently resides in McAlester, Oklahoma, and works as a high school English teacher and assistant cheerleading coach for McAlester Public Schools. She was named one of Oklahoma's Top 20 New Teachers in 2019. Katie is married to Seth Burgess. They have an 11 year old, Emma, and are expecting a new baby girl, Parker, this summer.

Darynne Dahlem

Miss Arkansas 2019


Darynne Dahlem Darynne Dahlem is a 22-year-old honors graduate of the University of Arkansas. In May of 2019 she received her Bachelor of Science in animal science. At Miss Arkansas Darynne won a $30,000 scholarship provided by the Skokos Foundation and the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation along with more than $75,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation and gifts. She will represent Arkansas at the 2020 Miss America Pageant. During her year as Miss Arkansas 2019, Darynne is making appearances across the Natural State serving as Arkansas’ spokesperson for the Children’s Miracle Network and Arkansas Children’s Hospital while promoting her personal platform, “Know Who You Are.” She will also promote the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Organization while speaking about the goals of the Miss Arkansas and Miss America system. At this year’s Miss Arkansas Pageant, Darynne won the Sarah Slocum Overall Interview Award as well as the Overall On Stage Interview Award. She also won the Jessie Ward Bennett Leadership Award, the Claudia Raffo Enhance Arkansas Award, the Asher Ray Mentor Award, the Melonie Moore Overall Vocalist Award, the Online Favorite Award, and one of the two Legacy Awards. During the arrival ceremonies, it was announced that she won the Medical Professionals Marketplace Scholarship and during the preliminary competition, she won a Social Impact in Evening Wear award for the Sigma Group. When her year as Miss Arkansas concludes, Darynne plans to use her scholarship money to attend medical school. She plans to one day specialize in pediatric cardiology and work at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. During her time competing in Miss Arkansas she has raised almost $11,000 for CMN and Arkansas Children’s. This was Darynne’s fifth time to grace the Miss Arkansas stage, during which time she has won nearly $95,000 in scholarships. She won the crown this year as Miss Apple Blossom. In 2018, as Miss Northwest Arkansas, she tied for the Katie Bailey Overall Swimsuit Award and the Sarah Slocum Overall Interview Award and won the Julie Blackwood Smart Swimsuit Award, a Preliminary Swimsuit Award, was in the Top Five Children’s Miracle Maker fundraisers and finished 2nd Runner Up. In 2017, as Miss University of Arkansas, she won the Jessie Bennett Leadership Award, the Melonie Moore Overall Vocalist Award, was the CMN Miracle Maker, and finished 1st Runner Up. As Miss Arkansas Valley in 2016 she won the Sarah Slocum Overall Interview Award, the STEM Award. and a Non-Finalist Interview Award. In 2015, as Miss Western Arkansas, she won an Overall Newcomer Award, Alpha Interview for her group, the Overall Alpha Interview Award, the Overall Alpha Evening Gown Award, the Delta Dental Smile Award, and finished in the Top Ten. For her talent selection, Darynne performed a vocal to “Somewhere” from the 1957 Broadway musical "West Side Story." She said that she selected this music for its beautiful story. With Darynne’s personal platform, “Know Who You Are,” she plans to continue her work throughout the state encouraging students to make good choices that will help protect their futures. She wants to encourage mentoring programs aimed at helping our nation’s youth and continue to implement programs such as Save AR Students to make a difference in tomorrow’s society. She believes if you truly know who you are, you won’t be led to do or be something you’re not. While at the University of Arkansas, Darynne was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, serving as body image coordinator and crisis management team leader. She was on the Honors College Dean’s List all four years, a member of the Arkansas Alumni Association, served as a senator for the Associated Student Government, and was a UA Campus Council Member. She was also vice chair and events coordinator for the Bumpers Honors College as well as an anchor for UATV. She attended the 2016 Presidential Inauguration and was an active member of Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol. A 2015 honors graduate of Greenwood High School, Darynne is the daughter of Ron and Traci Lewellen of Greenwood. She is the granddaughter of Ron Fields of Fort Smith and Patti Gilstrap Camuso of Fort Smith.
